I use a vitamin C serum as part of my regular skin care routine and I am always open to trying different kinds. This one was no exception. It comes in very fancy packaging, I felt like I was opening a Faberge egg! You could definitely give it as a gift! The serum itself went on smoothly. It recommends two drops but you need more than that (or maybe I just have a big face). If you are using it on your hands too, then two drops will not cut it. It went on nicely. I liked the glass dropper. It did not irritate my skin at all but I did notice it made my skin feel “tight” after use. They recommend you use a moisturizer afterwards and I needed that. I can’t really say I’ve seen any significant changes to my skin after using it for over 3 weeks now. I was hoping to fade some brown spots I have. They look exactly the same. However, in all fairness, I think it will take more than a serum to cure those. Bottom line is, if you use a vitamin C serum, this is a good one to use and the ingredients are great but do not expect to see miracle improvements to your skin.

I’ve been using the Age Restore 20% Vitamin C Face Serum with Vitamin E for the past month, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! This serum has truly transformed my skin in ways I didn’t expect.
Despite having a high concentration of Vitamin C, this serum is not drying at all. The inclusion of Vitamin E ensures my skin stays hydrated and plump throughout the day.

Wife’s review: I have been in love with vitamin C products for my face since being pregnant, retinol is frowned upon and this is a great alternative. Works really well for me. Goes on smoothly and makes my skin feel soft and hydrated. A little goes a long way!

This feels like a decent serum, goes on light, not sticky once fully absorbed. It’s hard to say how much affect it’s had, because I was already using a Vitamin C serum before this, but it hasn’t changed or worsened anything, so that seems to me like it’s doing its job. It has almost no scent, and while it’s not as viscous as other serums I’ve used, it doesn’t feel like it’s doing less.

This comes in a nice package, like I’ve never seen before. Plenty of others have covered that, but I care more about what’s in the serum and how well it works. This serum has a large dropper, so I only need 2 drops of this to cover my full face and neck when I usually need 3. It has a mid range consistency between watery and syrupy. It feels sticky as it spreads, and takes a little more effort to spread than other serums, but absorbs in a couple of minutes and leaves my skin very soft and not sticky/tacky at all. I find it to be fairly moisturizing, but would definitely still use a moisturizer after. I notice a bit of a plumping effect with it, with fine lines looking a little more muted than when I don’t use (right after application). I’ve used quite a few niacinamide and hyaluronic acid serums in the past, and this is definitely one of the nicer ones.
However, I have questions about the ingredients. There are not many in this serum, which I greatly appreciate. It’s a targeted serum with targeted ingredients and for something like this, less is definitely more. That is a huge plus to me. But how much niacinamide is in here?
I know how much niacinamide works for my skin, and it’s something important for me for companies to disclose this information. Too little and I’ll add a drop of a 10% niacinamide serum as a booster, enough and I’ll use it alone, and too much and I’ll use this as a booster for other serums. With niacinamide as the second ingredient, it could be anything from 1% and up to 10% or more. 10% or more has been known to cause redness and/or irritation for some people, so it’s something important to know when niacinamide is so high on an ingredients list.
I would have the same question about the amount of hyaluronic acid since too much can have the opposite effect than intended and actually dry out your skin, except this product uses Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide, which is often referred to as vegan or plant based HA. It mimics HA but has different properties (and is arguably better than synthetic HA). This is usually quite high on ingredients lists in general when it is used, so it gives me less concern in this serum. I also assume that’s why this is nicer than many other HA serums.
This is something I like and will continue to use, especially if I can figure out how much niacinamide is in it. Initially I thought this was overpriced and you were just being charged for a nice box, but after using it for a while I feel the price is in line with other serums of this quality.
