Resveratrol– depending on where you get it, it can be expensive or cheap. Granted, it WAS somewhat of a niche supplement, but now that it’s gong more mainstream, the price is coming down and the quality is coming up.
Our family uses it as a general antioxidant and preventative health measure– and this has been a good brand for us. Great quantity for the price, good dosage, and it does what we expect. However, I will say that I dislike the marketing strategy of labelling the item with the TOTAL amount of supplement in the WHOLE BOTTLE. There are not 10 grams of Resveratrol in every dose……. just think about it! LOL.

Organic Japanese Knotwood 10:1 Extract price for the supplements is quite reasonable for a 120-day supply. I have read of the many health benefits but I suppose this takes time to be observed. I like that the product page notes this is made in a GMP certified facility to guarantee purity, quality an potency.

When looking for resveratrol supplements, I look for how much trans-resveratrol the supplement contains as it is the form that is most beneficial. This supplement does not indicate that it contains any trans-resveratrol, but rather just a more purified regular resveratrol from Japanese knotweed (a common source of resveratrol for supplements). While it does contain a higher dose of resveratrol than most, it is still not trans-resveratrol. If there is trans-resveratrol in this supplement, the nutrition label and advertising does not indicate it.
The supplement is a white powder (as expected from a concentrated extract that is more purified) and is in a typical cellulose capsule that I found as easy to swallow as most other supplements. The capsules come in a black plastic bottle with a plastic screw on lid. The lid has a tamper seal on it, but it only covers the cap and not the body, so I’m not sure what good that does. At least there is another tamper seal under the cap. This container should keep the supplement protected and fresh.

This is trans-resveratrol, from what I understand…. that’s a key characteristic for this nutrient. I bring that up because for me, it’s the number one thing I look for in a resveratrol product,…. the type of resveratrol….and I can see that this formula, it’s derived from knot weed, but I forgot exactly what that meant…. if it’s “trans”-resveratrol, and not the inferior “cis”-resveratrol, then that’s great, and sure enough, when sourced from knot weed the form of resveratrol should be trans-resveratrol, at least that’s how I understand it….this really needs to be clearly stated in the description.. normally I would’ve just kept looking if a product didn’t denote the form…. which I do appreciate noting the source, the knot weed, but I want to know a little more.
Because now that I’m thinking I seem to recall a knot weed formula years ago that stated it had both types of resveratrol, trans and cis… because I remember them saying how it had both forms, and that was it’s selling point… in other words, maybe this is a mix of cis and trans too, but from what I just went and read though, it should be trans,….. plus now I’m thinking I recall a second ingredient in that old product…. nope,, it had three ingredients… that’s it….so the trans part, probably all came from the knot weed, IDK… look, just update the description, I can’t go on like this.
The 10 to 1 extract makes for a significant dosage, with 2 capsules being 1,000 mg’s, which is what I try to take daily, personally. So this is a good, high quality trans-resveratrol, as I understand it, and I wouldn’t have ordered if this wasn’t made in the USA, which you won’t really know is the case unless you look way down the page, to the Product Details section, under Country Of Origin… only there does it say USA. I’m sure it was thought to be implied this is made in the USA, by phrases like GMP Facility, or FDA Inspected, or Small Business…. those things maybe used to mean the product is made in the US, but it doesn’t mean that anymore, as I understand, you’ll have to look into yourself, but it should be made more clear this is made in the USA. Great product.

I’ve been taking Resveratrol for years for their benefits. The company claims it’s pure, pure Resveratrol so that being said, I hope they’re correct because I am taking these and I will be taking these for a while. Resveratrol supplement are popular for its heart-health benefits, and may help to support healthy blood pressure, and maintain a healthy overall system. These are all benefits. I am looking for out of this supplement.
The experts claim Resveratrol capsules may help slow down the signs of aging, promoting vitality, youthful skin, and improved energy levels; best anti aging supplement. I’m not sure of any of these claims, but I do take it based on these claims pretty much with all the supplements I take hoping they do what they claim. Studies show that Resveratrol supports brain health by helping with memory, focus, and cognitive clarity, while also helping to protect against age-related decline. So based on these claims and me taking these supplements for years, I’m gonna keep taking them and I will probably buy this brand again so I will recommend these for their price and supposed benefits.
