The taste here is really good, even if 4 dollars a packet seems excessive to me. But it’s strong enough that you can dilute it in more than 16oz of water, which makes the cost easier to stomach (I mean, the more water it gets me to drink, the better). There were no problems with the powder dissolving, and zero problems ripping open the packet (I’ve been surprised how many of these electrolyte packets end up needing scissors). As everyone has said, it’s high in sugar, which no doubt makes it taste so good, and I bet it could lose a little and still be great tasting. Finally, you should consider whether you want all the extras this offers, like B vitamins, CoQ10, and glutathione. Check to make sure you’re not getting significant doses of these in other supplements. I take so many that I prefer my electrolytes to be free of additional items so I don’t worry about overlapping doses, but if you’re someone who prefers an all-in-one approach, this is a nice product. My four stars is only because of the price.

The Restore Supplement – electrolytes powder packets arrived in a squished box. Perhaps at one time the box was sealed, but as received, pieces of the outer box had fallen off and some of the contents had spilled out. The expiration date is clearly marked on the packets, 05/2026. Each packet has 10.68g or .37 ounces. The powder was easy to mix into water, but needed some additional shaking to get it dissolved. I only used about 40% of the packet in 8 oz of water. It mixes up fairly well, but takes a little time to dissolve. The taste was similar to Gatorade, a bit salty, a bit sweet, but didn’t taste much like lemonade to me. The taste seemed pretty strong for only using an 8 oz cup of water, and less than half of the packet, but I am not a fan of sweet, maxium flavor drinks. I preferred to use about 1/3 of the packet with 12-16 oz of water.
The packaging on this should be a lot smaller. This box only had 7 sticks, but the box looked big enough to hold 20.

The mango lemonade flavor of the Restore hydration supplement by the Absorption Company is very sweet. It tastes great, but probably because it has 3g of cane sugar in it. There’s stevia in it, too, and the sugar helps mask that weird aftertaste you get with straight up stevia. It’s a little more sugar than I would like in a drink, so I split one pack between two 16 oz bottles of water so it less sweet and less concentrated sugar throughout the day. The powder dissolves quickly and completely when shaken well. In addition to the electrolytes, this supplement has lots of B vitamins so I get a nice pick me up from it. I always get heartburn from taking vitamin capsules with a lot of vitamin C and Bs in them. Not so with this drink, so its is a great alternative for those who have an issue. The only drawback is that there are only 7 sticks in the box for $24, a bit pricey. I’m guessing that’s because this is geared more occasional use or for athletes and those that need better hydration after intense workouts. I wish it had a little less sugar and was a bit more affordable so I could use it everyday.

Overall Rating: 5 stars (excellent) – I’d rate this 4.5 stars if I could, as I’d like additional information about manufacturing quality. That said, it tastes great. I don’t mind a bit of sugar in electrolytes as I’m almost always exercising when I drink it.

USAGE: excellent – One of the best tasting electrolyte drinks I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried a lot! Contains sugar (and a bit of stevia), which I prefer over other sweeteners in electrolyte drinks

I wouldn’t dream of taking this regularly–it’s just too expensive. But for those ‘rough mornings’ it’s a godsend. It’s a notably effective blend of ingredients that all work together to restore hydration, boost energy, and sharpen mental clarity. The sugar seems to be part of that equation so I can’t really knock it for that–it’s 3g, so really not a big deal. The flavor is definitely one of the better ones I’ve tried.

Pros:
– mango lemonade flavor was not too artificial and actually good for a hydration powder packet!
– each box comes with 7 sticks, or a weeks worth of product
– I took it when I had a cold and I instantly felt better the day afterwards
– ingredient list is pretty limited, which i appreciate 🙂
Cons:
– very pricy, at $3.43 per serving! Ideally, I would not drink this on a daily basis, only when needed
– one serving is very strong tasting- I’d prefer diluting it more!
– I’m not a fan of the stevia/sugar. I would rather have a sugar and stevia free powder.

I like that that these supplements easily are better than your typical Gatorade that is full of artificial sugars, colors and flavors. This has a lot of good ingredients and exceeds what the mass market electrolyte drinks have but it still has a bit too much sugar in my opinion. The weight of the package is 10.68 g and 3 g of that is sugar. They include both organic cane sugar and stevia which seems unnecessary and indeed it was very sweet to me. I added more water to dilute the sweetness. I kept stirring this before a sip because everything tends to settle on the bottom of the cup. This is full of B vitamins so expect to have quite yellow urine from the excess B vitamins being excreted. I like the extra ingredients that push this above your average electrolyte drink but it would be even better with just sugar or stevia but not both.
