EDIT 4/18/23: I have continued to purchase this unscented option as it is the best value and I love shea butter. Subsequent batches have been much smoother and I am 100% pleased with this product. I may have just gotten a grittier batch on my original purchase. It was also winter so that does affect consistency. Highly recommend.
Original: I originally purchased the Whipped with Mango Shea Butter from RA Cosmetics, which had a very strong scent but was otherwise an amazing texture and good value. I later purchased this unscented option but the texture is not nearly as smooth. It is still whipped, and so easier to spread than normal shea butter, but the gritty texture is disappointing. I would love a product that was as smooth as the mango product but without the actual added fragrance. I am not sure what the difference is, as there are no ingredients listed on the mango option, however there must be some type of ingredient added to the mango which creates a smoother more buttery texture. I would really love for an actual list of ingredients to be put on all of these products, as I do not want to unknowingly be putting artificial ingredients on my body.

Shea butter really grainy. It feels like sand is mixed in. I hate this for me because I was so looking forward to having whipped butter. If you want to feel like you rolled in sand then this is for you

It is definitely whipped shea butter at a great price point. I swear there’s fragrance in it although the ingredient list says otherwise

The product smells very strong. It is whipped but the product is gritty as another reviewer stated. My jar was not full. Definitely easier to spread compared to the regular Shea butter

I purchased the plain African shea butter with no scent and I really wanted to love this product, but couldn’t get past the strong chemical smell. The texture, consistency and moisturizing affect of the product was great but I could not tolerate the smell. Maybe the scented versions would be a better option, but I had to return this one.

The African shea butter is soft and rubs easily in to your hands in order to smooth onto your body. There is a light scent of the shea butter.

If you are using raw shea butter try this! Much more creamy and spreadable on skin. Melts into skin quickly. So much cheaper than other man made creams. It does a much better job hydrating and keeping my skin itch free all day than even nivea.
