I confess I didn’t know what a gel “wash” was, I thought it was something that may have gotten lost in translation as when I first tried this, I applied it like a lotion and rubbed it in until it was absorbed, and thought to myself there’s no need to wash this off? I now understand that it may be intended to be more like a mask that you apply then literally wash off afterwards, but for my chronically dry skin this actually works pretty darn well as a leave-in cream. I only needed a very small amount and it did take a little while to absorb – admittedly I may be using it incorrectly, but what I’m doing works for me. I like the scent, it’s heavy on the aloe vera but not unpleasant at all. A little truly goes a long way so if you factor that into the price, it’s actually very good value for money.

This wash-off pack from Pyunkang Yul is also known as a “sleeping pack” where you wear it to bed (can be difficult if you sleep on your back) and then wash it off in the morning. It’s a great method of skincare in South Korea because you get all the benefits from the wash-off mask overnight! 🙂 I found this wash-off mask to be much needed on my face because it needs a little TLC in the winter lately.
The ingredients are very high quality and a spatula for sanitary reasons was included which I appreciate any time dip jars include one! It’s much more hygienic in comparison to using your fingers. The smell is rather herbal but it isn’t unpleasant by any means! However, if you are sensitive to fragrances or perfumes, a patch test is needed. If you dislike fragrances altogether, this may not be the right product for you.
Using consistently for a week, my skin has calmed down and chapped areas are much less rough in the morning around my nose and mouth when using. I have scaly areas on my skin that need a little love in the winter so this will be my new holy grail sleeping pack!

When it says it doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals or fragrances, know that it does not mean it is fragrance free. This stuff smells like potent aftershave until it has absorbed into your skin.
Thus said, it is a really relaxing gel for the skin. I can’t talk about any medical issues because the review will be rejected, but I can say this is calming on the skin, just as the listing says. It is a thinner gel, too, so it will go a long way. It appears to have all natural ingredients, so I’m certainly happy about that.

this mask is just amazing! I have oily skin and each time I use this mask I feel my skin is very smooth and has a nice shine after each use! I like that it does not have a strong scent too!

This is my second product from this brand. We are huge fans of Kbeauty and Japanese beauty products in our household so when the opportunity strikes, we are all over them. The gel appears brownish in color and smells botanical. I just used it as a face wash but I suppose you could use it as a mask even as its gel-like consistency would just dry on your skin. I do not have sensitive skin but am prone to dryness on my cheeks and under my eyes. The face wash says to avoid the eye area which I did so I don’t know what it would do if you put it too close to your eyes. My face always feels great after a nice round of cleansing so I can’t say if it was this wash in particular or just any face wash – I just massage the product into my damn.wet face. I followed it all up with tretonoin and a moisturizer. I really do like this brand as this is my second product (they have a serum which I use also, during the day).
