When received the jar was partially open and should be returned. The jar was partially open when sealed in plastic bag. Not safe to consume.

I take NAC supplements for it’s antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. While I get it from the food I eat it is best to have help from the supplement. It mixes well with my workout shake. PURE has many highly rated supplements. They don’t report any information on the factory rating or 3rd party testing so I will give them a 3 star rating.

Unfortunately this stuff isn’t great. It smells horrible and tastes horrible. It gives me headaches and a side ache in abdomen, and my kids stomachaches. I’ve been taking a different brand of NAC for almost 3 years so I know it’s not that. I really hoped it was a good fit for us.

I’ve been using PURE ORIGINAL INGREDIENTS NAC Powder for a while now, and it’s become a staple in my supplement routine. This pure N-Acetyl L-Cysteine powder is straightforward and effective, providing the amino acid support I need without any unnecessary additives or fillers, which is a big plus for me.
One thing to note is that the powder has a distinct smell, but I usually mix it into my smoothies or shakes, so the smell doesn’t bother me much. The absence of other ingredients ensures that I’m getting a clean and pure supplement each time I use it.
Since starting with NAC powder, I’ve noticed subtle improvements in my overall well-being, particularly in terms of respiratory health and immune support. While individual results may vary, I’ve found it to be a reliable addition to my daily health regimen.
Overall, I highly recommend PURE ORIGINAL INGREDIENTS NAC Powder for anyone looking for a pure and effective source of N-Acetyl L-Cysteine. It’s easy to incorporate into your routine and provides the amino acid support you need without unnecessary additives. If you’re seeking a straightforward supplement that delivers on its promises, this one is worth considering.

Supplements help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food, and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review that you can determine for yourself if you want to try this one out or not.
This container comes entirely sealed in a plastic bag. I’m not sure if it’s in case there is a breach to the container (it’s possible the thinnest plastic of any powder supplement I’ve used) or to keep the smell from getting out (the seal under the lid was not sealed all the way around the opening). The sulfuresque scent is expected, as that is what NAC smells like. It must be REALLY good for you =) (it is).
The container comes about two-thirds full, which isn’t bad for a powder. It actually seems more crystalline than a powder.
There are 362 servings in the container (!) and it says to have 1-2 per day, in which case it will last 181-362 days.
The “best by” date (THANK YOU for not putting it on the bottom!) on mine is Apr 2026, so a little less than two years from now.
I may not be spot on because the women in my family don’t seem to detect the sulfur-like natural of the scent; they think it’s more lemony. I DID see someone online describe it as, pardon my French, “lemon fart water,” so I guess to each his own. It doesn’t taste like it smells – to me it is just slightly tart, kind of like a mild citric acid. Add it to a smoothie or a shake and you’re good to go.
I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and Made in USA. This says none of those. The product page says packaged in Utah, USA, and the website says manufactured in Lindon, Utah.
I look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many shady ones. Their puresupplementsco site is functional and has a working phone number on it. Some companies seem to try and be invisible to the consumer and even if you can find them, it’s hard-to-impossible to contact them. This company is not like that. I also follow my intuition in “verifying” a company, sourcing, manufacturing, etc., and my intuition wants to know more details. For now (especially at this price!), I feel comfortable continuing with this product, but for long-term repeated use I would like to know more about their sourcing and manufacture.
Thank you for reading, I hope it’s been helpful.

Great bulk source for this potent antioxidant powder. Years supply, very practical purchase. I dose this daily for longevity and performance. Can mix with Quercetin for optimum absorption.

I received what I expected – a bulk powdered supply of NAC.
Well packaged -sent in a bag which was nice in case of leakage (there wasn’t any). Arrived sealed and unexpired as expected.
I cannot verify the purity level of the supplement, and I wish the manufacturer would provide an independently tested one.
Ok, NAC in powder form is pretty gross in taste, and this is no exception. This isn’t a problem for me personally as I tend to gulp down supplements rather than savor them. Would recommend masking the taste by including in a protein shake or other drink you may already be using.
Dosage wise, the scoop is 1000mg, but I’ve seen NAC recommended in higher dosages. With 360+ servings, you have the flexibility to add more.
Value seems good given the amount provided.

This product has a weird plastic smell to it. I’ve tried to return it bc I don’t want to give my child something that smells like plastic. But they won’t accept returns for this. I like that it a flavorless powder to easily hide in a drink.
