I really like the Puré encapsulations brand and I chose it to support glutathione. But they failed with the taste from my perspective. It is too sweet, after taking it you feel bloated. I think they should bring out a plain and clean flavor, without any additive.

This product has an odd taste. If I could have returned it I would have. Glad I couldn’t return it, I used it anyway. Once you get past the sulfury aftertaste it’s ok. The aftertaste is tolerable unless you are expecting a fruity-flavored drink.
I feel like I have been sleep deprived for years. I don’t sleep through the night every single night, but sleeping through the night is now the norm. If I wake up I go back to sleep. I teach 3-5 in a self-contained special education classroom. One simply cannot come to work without having enough sleep.
I notice that my skin is getting thicker.
So don’t plan on a fruity drink, but expect great results.

I was excited to see that Amazon put NAC back on their website….why they took it down is just dumb. I think they realized how much money they could make off it because it works.
I get sick of taking pills all the time and wanted something my kids could take too if I wanted them to have some(they can’t swallow pills). I love the flavor of this. Yes, it is sweet, but you can dilute it with more water so it won’t be as much. It has a nice peachy flavor.

I’m a fan of this brand. I consider this to be almost pharmaceutical grade in terms of cleanliness and cleanliness. I’m on a non toxic wave, trying to replace all products in my house that’s considered toxic. Based on my research, this product could be considered toxic because it contains “natural flavors”. Yes, it tastes decent, but I rather it taste bad than have natural flavors.
NAC is an important supplement because they’re considered the precursor to creating glutathione which is what your body makes to help get rid of toxins in your body. As we age, this pathway gets tougher so supplementing it is a must for longevity. My functional medicine doctor recommends me take this especially because I have G6PD deficiency which means I don’t really have the pathway to create glutathione. Plus it also means my blood cells gets destroyed easily at the glimpse of anything (people who have it bad gets hemolytic anemia and needs a blood transfusion). There’s a study done on folks with G6PD, their levels were great while taking NAC but the moment they stopped, things went back to how it was. So this is a supplement I need to take religiously everyday. Just wish this product didn’t have natural flavors in it and that it was a bit more economical.

I’m looking for a NAC my kids will take, since they won’t swallow the horse pills. This one is very sweet from the glycine, but sugar-free, and tastes a bit like piña colada, which they love. It does have a slight bitter aftertaste from the NAC, but that’s not a problem for us. It also dissolves easily and completely in water. Pure Encapsulations is trustworthy on quality, so you’d think I’d be happy.
The problem is, the first container arrived LESS THAN HALF FULL. Immediately, I was suspicious that so little powder could fulfill the 30 servings on the label. So I measured it all out, scoop by level (even scant) scoop. I was right. I got to 19.5 servings. Why is it so difficult for a manufacturer to be accurate in it’s “approximate” serving sizes when they provide the scoop to measure with?? This is 30% fewer servings than labeled! It’s incredibly misleading! Either make the serving size smaller, or fill up the darn container. It’s not that hard. I will check all my supplements from them in future to be sure this isn’t a trend. This is not the way to build customer confidence!
