I definitely feel more motivated and energetic when I take this compared to when I do not. I believe it is evident when it “wears off” though it’s no a complete ‘drop’ as might be expected. I was looking for something that would eventually raise my dopamine baseline and this is not it. Works for me for a daily boost. I’ll likely try something different when this bottle is empty.

This product, Phenylalanine, comes up first on searches for other similarly named items, such as Phenylethylamine. Be mindful as this product is not returnable. Though the page says it is refundable and replaceable (at this time) – it is apparently not returnable. FWIW- My research shows that this manufacturer is a highly reputable producer of supplements.

I’m still giving this a 5 because I think for anyone not on antidepressants, this item could work well. My personal experience is likely bad interaction with my medication.
For the first week I felt much more energetic and sociable than I had in a long time. By week 2 I was quite irritable, tired, and exact opposite of how I initially responded. It reminded me of times in past where the SSRI I was on suddenly stopped working and I had to switch.
Stopped taking this by week 3 and returned to my holy basil and saffron supplements. That seems to be better for me and doesn’t interfere with my medication.
I had a similar experience with nicotinamide riboside.
Obviously both have an effect on neurotransmitters, however it seems to be a bad mix with SSRIs. So be careful and keep track of how you are feeling daily if you try this.
I’ve found every item I’ve ordered from this manufacturer to be good quality. This one is simply not for me.
