Great product. My nutritionist recommended for assisting with lowering my cholesterol. I also take Berberine. Taken 2x a day. Last blood work my numbers went down 10 points and A1C improved also.

UPDATE: I’ve only been taking this product for several weeks, and my first cholesterol test came back slightly better than my physical, so my doctor thinks it’s on the right track — but he’s not entirely convinced this supplement will be enough. So I can’t report lowered cholesterol at this point. Per the instructions, I take two capsules with each meal — which means I make sure to bring a small bottle with me when I eat out in restaurants or someone else’s home. So far, no major side effects other than the expected fatty stool, which is common, according to research.
In addition to digestive issues in the beginning (which has started to normalize) I’ve noticed a huge difference in my HAIR. It is much dryer, and more frizzy after using this supplement for several weeks. My hairstylist also noted the change, and this supplement is the only change I’ve made in recent months. I am concerned about my hair, and think the CholestePure is pulling the nutrients away from my hair. Hair needs cholesterol for body and health, so this is a likely explanation for the sudden dryness and brittle hair.
For me, it’s worth a try before taking prescription statins, along with diet and exercise changes. My doctor is willing to work with me on this. Pure Encapsulations is a quality brand — and I’ve had great experience with other products in this line, so I feel I can trust the product. Will report back after my blood work.

I ordered these because my cholesterol is very high and due to mitochondrial collapse from a chronic illness I need to be very careful with statins. I also know that plant sterols often are suggested to help fight bacterial and viral infections as well as immune function. I have not had my cholesterol re-tested yet but I can tell you that the CholestePure has made a tremendous difference in how I feel. My energy bounce back is better and my energy is slightly better. I wake feeling better. I can’t say for sure that’s only because of the CholestePure, but I think it makes a significant contribution to that improvement. I will check back after my cholesterol gets tested again and let you know if it worked for that as well. I specifically chose this brand over the mass-market one my doctor recommended. These are capsules and the quality is excellent. It makes a huge difference to the results you will see or feel as well as the ability of your body to make the most use out of a supplement.

I found this product on a Internist website, which my Internist had suggested, I was actually looking for something else when I found this product on the Internist website and a Cardiologist was recommending this one. I can tell you the science doesn’t lie; I reduced my usage of Cholestin from 2-4 a day to just 1 and added 2 of these capsules and my blood work has been excellent. Reduced my cholesterol totals to 178 from 188. I was happy because I wanted to reduce my exposure to statin which Cholestin is an excellent grade of Red Rice Yeast, but that still is a statin.
What is interesting is doctors have known for years that the plant sterols will bind to the fat and cholesterol in your stomach and you will eliminate it out via the stool. This is a no brainer for anyone who has cholesterol issues and wants a natural way to reduce their lipid count. Get off the Statins, in particular Lipitor and the other RX statins and atleast try this one for 3 months and then have your blood tested.
*I would like to add that I checked vita cost dot com to see if they had this item? They do and I almost bought it because it was several dollars cheaper but then when I checked the formula this one is double the strength!* So buy it here!

Skip the statins and use this. Works well with a combination of healthier diet and mild exercise like walking or riding the bike. Lowered my Cholesterol by 40 and I’m a woman over 50.
