    I bought this product during a time when my skin just wasn’t at its best. I have used face masks before, but mostly the cheap ones from the story that come in a tube. When I bought this, it was a splurge and a risk whether it’d help my skin.
    Thanks to Prime shipping, I got this in two days. It came sealed (thankfully!) and I love the packaging. Although I’m not a fan of scooping it out because it can get easily contaminated, I found a way around that by using Popsicle sticks instead of my fingers.
    The mud mask itself is amazing, to say the least. The smell is light and fresh, not overpowering or at all unpleasant. The texture of the mud is incredibly smooth and creamy and easily smears onto the skin. While I believe (not entirely sure) it says it takes around 15-20 minutes to dry, for me it takes around 30-45 minutes using a light coat, but that’s fine because it definitely works. When I first used it, I was almost frightened by the tiny dots all over my skin where it absorbed the oil in my pores, especially around my nose. I noticed my skin looked softer and brighter after just the first use, and it felt amazingly soft.
    I have been using this mask several times a week for about a month now and have noticed a difference in my complexion. My skin looks much smoother, the blackheads around my nose are minimal, and my skin tone is becoming much more even and less red. So far I have probably used this mask over 20+ times and I still have well over half of a container left, so it definitely makes the cost worth it.
    My only complaint about the mask is how messy it is to wash off, but that is most likely user error.
    So far the best mask I have ever used!

    ***Update: I have used this product 3 times now and I’ve concluded that I do like it, but you definitely need to use a moisturizer with it. It’s not a stand alone product, especially as it’s only a weekly application, so my recommendation is to use it weekly as it says and use a moisturizer daily (if not twice daily).
    I originally tried it alone, no other products. I found that while it can single-handedly keep my skin smooth for two weeks, no moisturizer makes it dry, especially in the cold weather. I am now going back to using moisturizer and will be adding this to my routine, because I did find that it helped me 🙂

    The item arrived in a package with bubble wrap around it; there were no damages to the jar or lid. The seller emailed me the day it was delivered asking me to make sure it wasn’t damaged, and if it was, to let them know right away so they can help me out. I thought that was nice, good to know they care about their customers’ experience!

    I have rated this product 4 stars because I have only just used the mask for the first time and I like it and will provide my initial impression of it, but I will continue to test it (the directions say not to use it more than once a week) and will update this review.

    Some background information on me: I have had problems with acne for around 8 years but recently it has improved quite a bit just from growing out of that stage of my life. I do have some scarring, I still get frequent but not as severe breakouts and my pores clog very easily, especially on my cheeks and near my temples.
    I am hoping that this mask will help reduce my pores and clear up some breakouts as well as get the dead skin off my face that causes clogged pores so much. I usually use a cleanser and moisturizer that work pretty well for me, but in preparation for this testing I gave my skin a couple days’ break from their influence to make sure I can really see what this Dead Sea Mud Mask can do.

    Before: Starting out with this product I have a few breakout regions, a decent amount of clogged pores on my cheeks, forehead and temples.
    After using the mask: Firstly I’d like to say that the mask smells nice, it isn’t strong or overwhelming. It’s very easy to spread, dries fairly quickly, and once your 10-15 minutes letting it sit is done, it’s easy to remove with warm water and a washcloth. My skin feels refreshed and softer all around, and a lot of the dead skin from the clogged pores has been cleared away from my forehead so that is now smoother.

    I bought this a LONG time ago and I use it usually every 2-3 days. I love it!! Whenever I notice a breakout starting to form I use it and it helps keep it the breakout down. I also never feel dry after and my skin feels super soft. Would recommend this product!

    Es ist die beste Maske, die ich je genutzt habe. Ich bin der mischhaut typ mit den klassischen öligen stellen -nase und stirn – und die maske, finde ich, reinigt und erfrischt einfach perfekt. Ich nutze es max 1x die woche, meistens jedoch 1x in zwei wochen

    Amazing mask. Great for flaky oily skin. Prevent cakey makeup

    I have extreme oily skin, so naturally I’m still experiencing acne as an adult because of it. And because of acne, my skin is always flaky with bits of skin hanging here and there. It’s extremely hard to get rid of. I tried all the YouTube tricks to exfoliate but I never get a smooth canvas to put makeup on and it always end up cakey and the makeup melts off my face bc the oil comes out after a couple hours. I had to use expensive (for a college student) moisturizer $25/oz to keep down the flakes, and barely effective. Normally, I put on the mask 30min and moisturizer to prep my skin for the next 3 days or so and it worked great. But After leaving on the mask overnight once by accident, the next morning my face was so smooth. No more flakes of skin. My foundation and powder go on flawlessly and it lasted more than twice as long as normal before melting off. I can use this mask now together with just a cheap moisturizer maybe $2-3/oz and still get away with beautiful smooth makeup.

    PROS:
    1. Smells great
    2. Super moisturizing
    3. Great for getting rid of flaky skin to prevent cakey makeup
    4. Reduces redness visibly
    5. Reduce oil production and thus acne production

    CONS:
    1. Storage and handling have to be careful to keep clean
    2. Can be messy when washing it off your face bc it’s black
    3. Might not be for all types of skin

    WARNING:
    1. store in the fridge and use a clean spoon to scoop out just the amount of mask for use every time or you’ll contaminate it and it will grow mold.
    2. Not for everybody’s skin. Some people might be more sensitive than others. I can leave this mask on for three four hours and still be fine but my friend left it on for two hours and her face felt tender afterward.
