The Silk Sunscreen from TATCHA is a very nice product. As a couple of other reviewers have mentioned, it DOES have a slight tint and does NOT go on sheer. It looks like a light to medium foundation liquid. Now, that said, because of the tint, I can use this instead of foundation (I still use a little concealer with it), and this sunscreen does seem to even my skin tone.
As advertised, this sunscreen really does give my skin a nice glow and a dewy finish.
It’s lightweight and absorbs into my skin well. Also, it’s a big plus that it’s SPF 50… a lot of makeup sunscreen products are only 15 or 30.
Again, this is a very nice product! I would absolutely give it 5-stars if the price was more reasonable (current list price is $64).

Great sunscreen. The consistency of the sunscreen is watery and it has a light beige tint to it. It spreads onto skin easily and the beige tint goes away like it disappears when rubbed into the skin. I am light/ medium with olive undertones. This sunscreen doesn’t make my face look greasy and it also doesn’t cling to any of my dry spots on face. I don’t have to use a moisturizer with this sunscreen. I only put this sunscreen on in the morning. It also doesn’t clog my pores as I have combination skin. Overall I really like the sunscreen but not crazy about the price. I find it pricey for a small size tube.

I’ve heard of the Tatcha brand before and know about the quality of the products they offer. I always test my skincare products before using them since my skin is sensitive. I tested this one, and after 30 minutes, I was good to go. I applied it to my face, and it felt smooth with no foul smell. My skin was soft and smooth. On a sunny Sunday afternoon, I decided to go for a run. I was outside without a hat, with the sun beaming on my face. Afterward, I cleaned it off and noticed how well it blocked the sun. I love Tatcha products, so was very excited to try this one. I found it very comparable to my old favorite (and very hard to find) Clinique Pep Start sunscreen. The light tint is perfect for my very fair skin. I found this smooth, not sticky, and very easy to apply. It works well even under makeup. This will be a new favorite in my collection.

I was surprised at how a small amount of this sunscreen goes a long way. The sunscreen is a liquid, so it spreads easily. As someone who uses a variety of Korean sunscreens, I know how to rub and rub and rub in my sunscreen. You gotta take the time the rub it in to make sure it gets a chance to skin in.
I was a little worried about the tint, because I am very pale, but this sunscreen seems to melt into my skin and I’m not sure I notice the tinting at all once I have worked it in. I can also swipe my fingers over my under eye and eye lids, in case the tint does something (don’t wanna look silly), and this sunscreen doesn’t cause me any eye irritation! It either doesn’t move, or its just that gentle!
The product leaves my skin with a subtle glow and feeling smooth. I haven’t seen the amazing benefits they mention in the little pamphlet like the silk workers do, but I also haven’t used this for years.
The price definitely leaves something to be desired. I’ve heard of Tatcha, so I wasn’t surprised at the price, but this isn’t something I could afford to buy as often as you need to purchase sunscreen.
