This stuff is a godsend! It’s so light and lotion-like that it can be used daily. Nothing powdery, chalky, or greasy about it. It works so well that I often use it as a primer, even on days when I don’t plan on being out in the sun. Makeup looks great when applied on top of it and seems to have good longevity (I like to use Smashbox setting spray to finish it off). One thing to keep in mind is that it has a slightly shimmery, dewy finish, which might not work well if you’re going for a matte look.
I haven’t had any issues with breakouts or clogged pores while using this. My skin isn’t particularly sensitive, so your mileage may vary, but I haven’t noticed any adverse reaction.
A little goes a long way, so while the tubes are a bit small, you can expect them to last you a while. I apply it on my face and neck daily, as well as the tops of my hands (protects them from the sun and makes the skin look and feel soft).
Easily the best sunscreen I’ve ever used! It makes it so easy to protect your skin without compromising your look.

Comes out of tube white but leaves no white cast. Easily and smoothly spread. Disappears after application. I do not know about whether this is waterproof coz I did not go swimming with it. It leaves my skin (I use several layers of serums) looking moist and dewy. No tackiness. I protect my skin with an obsessiveness….I wear hats and when bare headed, I carry an umbrella like other East Asians to stay away from those nasty harmful UV rays. This works so well for such a great price. I will order more so I will have a good supply on hand for everyday wear. Highly recommend. All those praises for sunscreens from Japan are true. White, untanned skin is the beauty standard for East Asians from Japan, Taiwan, China, South Korea. This product is perfect for daily use. Stay out of the sun to keep your skin from looking like old leather. No wonder all those Asian celebrities look 15-25 years younger than their chronological age….e.g. 30s-40s years old men playing high school age boyfriends in K-drama and C-drama rom com series and movies.

I have tried SO MANY sunscreens and this one wins!! It goes on smoothly and without white cast! The formula somehow is incredibly gentle and there is ZERO eye stinging or burning ( all others burn my eyes if I get them close). I have had nothing but a positive skin reaction to using it! The best part is it is better than a primer for your makeup. My skin looks more flawless with it on than without it and pairs well with my makeup!

I learned about it from Dr. Idriss on youtube and it’s truly a great product. No white cast, no greasiness. It spreads easily, the texture is very soft, and it leaves a bit of a glow after applying. Will definitely repurchase.

This sunscreen is genuinely as light as it promises with no odor, I can’t feel it at all once it soaks in and it doesn’t leave my skin oily!
My skin normally gets a bit oily throughout the day but this sunscreen didn’t add to it at all! I do apply it lightly like a moisturizer though.
As it soaks in, it gives a refreshing feeling I also enjoy although it might bother some people who have skin sensitivity issues or problems with specific sensations. It’s like a cool soft feeling.
It does have a very slight shine(hence the mermaid skin title) but it’s not super noticeable on my skin and absorbed completely within a few hours. I think it’s very subtle and felt like it was not even there though, just a healthy glow. If you have very oily skin, it could definitely be a potential problem though. As I’ve said, my skin gets oily through the day but this sunscreen absorbed and didn’t add to that by the time my skin naturally becomes oily.
Personally highly recommend, I doubt I could find a better spf 50 face sunscreen that worked with my skin type this well. You can also use this as a primer for foundation which is amazing, 2 birds with one stone. This is an essential part of my skincare routine now and I personally highly recommend it.
