I live in a geographic area where we get up to 300 sunny days per year, so having sunscreen is a must have. Hawaiian Tropic is my family’s go to when it comes to sunscreen. The sheer touch face sunscreen is SPF 60 in a 2.5oz bottle, making it extremely convenient to carry with you in your pocket or purse. Simply apply it about 15 minutes before sun exposure and you’re good to go. One of the things I like most about this sunscreen is it rubs in clear. You don’t have that white haze after applying to your skin. Overall, an excellent quality product that is exactly as described. Highly recommend.

This sunscreen from Hawaiian Tropic is exactly what I was looking for. It’s almost winter here but we are going on vacation in a few weeks and will be needing an effective sunscreen.
It applies evenly and absorbs nicely into my skin without leaving a white cast. It does indeed give me a bit of glow, nothing super noticeable, just a subtle glow.
This is a rather small tube at 2.5 ounces so I will keep this solely for use on my face.

It disappears after smoothing it in & is not greasy. You know you are wearing sunscreen but it’s not an oily mess. It has a coconut/tropical scent so I wouldn’t wear this as a daily sunscreen – I hate scent on my face. It’s a beach/leisure time scent that is quite noticeable.
It did not irritate my skin & does seem to work well. I had no sunburn after applying it.

So I have difficult skin, and find a lot of sunscreens don’t absorb well. I know this isn’t the case for everyone. But I was hoping this would be a bit more sheer/ absorb more easily. It’s not terrible, just not going to be my fave sunscreen. My other complaint is that this is scented, and I really prefer no to use scented products on my face.
I can’t speak to the effectiveness yet, but since it’s scented, I’m thinking I’ll just use this on my chest or hands to use it up.

The Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch Face Sunscreen Lotion has an SPF of 60 and absorbs quickly and does not leave a greasy residue. I like how there’s no white cast when you apply the sunscreen like most name brand American sunscreen. The sunscreen itself does feel lightweight and I did not experience any reaction with my sensitive skin.

The first thing I noticed was the slender tube with pump applicator, it’s unique compared to most squeeze type sunscreen tubes. It’s perfect for non messy applications and travel. The quality is amazing and the consistency isn’t as thick as your normal sunscreen product and feels like a thin face lotion, that’s white colored. Not only does it provide the SPF protection that we’re all looking for, it’s so much more than just a sunscreen. Ive been using this for months now and its becomes an absolutely staple in my day and night time routine. I wear it under makeup to give that lit from within glow. I also love to mix this with any and all of my face makeup, foundation, bronzer, blush, concealer, etc. Since using the serum, my skin looks healthier and more hydrated. I use it on my face and neck every morning and evening and I couldn’t be happier with the results. This serum definitely gave me the fresh, vibrant skin that I was hoping for.

It takes a handful of pumping to get the first little bit, but then the sunscreen lotion dispenses smoothly. It’s easy to control the amount of lotion received so you only get as much as you need. The lotion is lightweight, spreads smoothly, and absorbs quickly, not leaving weird skin textures or sensations. It appears white when first dispensed, but is fully transparent once spread out, don’t even have to wait for it to dry. The sunscreen has a mild scent to it that’s easy to tune out, no perpetual perfume smell that prevents appreciating anything else.
