I was diagnosed with Rosacea about two months ago. I was prescribed MetroGel and it was not effective at treating my red, scaly, rash covered face. So, after extensive research…and I mean very extensive, I discovered that there were four items which came highly recommended by Rosacea sufferers all over. Those items were, Grandpa’s Pine Tar soap, Cliradex wipes, using an all natural anti-reddening cream and having a great sunscreen. The reviews for this particular sunscreen were very good amongst Rosacea sufferers, who reported that most of the others they had tried, either left a white film on their face, caused irritation or made their skin very oily. I found that I this sunscreen is on the thicker side, so I have to use more of it to cover my entire face, neck and chest. However, it has not caused me any irritation or break outs. I only have to apply it one time per day. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it does cause my skin to appear slightly oily and it’s not cheap…but I do have combination skin…so I notice the “shine” mostly on my forehead and chin. After I stopped using the MetroGel and switched over to these four products, used day and night (sunscreen only in the morning)…I have had clear skin, zero redness, zero irritation and extremely minimal flushing. My triggers WERE alcohol, heat, sun, cold and exercise. None of these have affected me so far since I began this regimen. I hope this is useful for any other Rosacea sufferers out there!

I’ve used Clinique Super City sun block for years. I wouldn’t go out of the house without it. It’s glides on so easily and hides any skin flaws …. Evens out my skin tone and has a lovely natural finish. The sun protection is only 25 SPF. I can use the 40 SPF but it’s a little thicker.

Love this product and have used it for years but have been told by the manufacturer that the 25 and 40 have been discontinued and they are only selling a 50 factor. Best to avoid this one as I came out in a horrendous rash on my face and had to use antihistamines and calamine lotion for four days. Changed the formula apparently. Bad decision by the manufacturer!

My husband and I have been using this Clinique sunscreen for over 10 years. We purchase it every summer and we spend a great deal of time outdoors and we never get any harmful burns from the sun. He has very little hair on his head and this sunscreen has worked wonders and he is very happy not to have to wear a hat all the time!

I had a very hard time getting the product when it was down to the last part of the tube. Also sometimes the natural oils separate from product.
