Naked Whey Isolate Protein: A Protein Powder That Lives Up to Its Name
5 out of 5 stars
Naked Whey Isolate Protein is exactly what it claims to be: pure, unadulterated whey protein isolate with no unnecessary additives or fillers. As someone who’s serious about their fitness and nutrition, I appreciate the simplicity and transparency of this product.
Here’s what I loved:
* Clean ingredients: With just one ingredient (whey protein isolate), I know exactly what I’m putting into my body. No artificial sweeteners, flavors, or colors.
* High-quality protein: This protein powder is sourced from grass-fed cows and is free of rBGH and rBST hormones. It’s also non-GMO, gluten-free, and soy-free.
* Excellent mixability: Naked Whey dissolves easily in water or milk with minimal shaking. No clumps or chalkiness!
* Great taste: I tried the unflavored version, and it has a very mild, natural taste that doesn’t overpower my smoothies or shakes.
* Effective: I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my muscle recovery and overall energy levels since I started using Naked Whey.
Overall:
If you’re looking for a clean, high-quality protein powder that delivers results, Naked Whey Isolate Protein is an excellent choice. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to fuel their body with the best possible ingredients. I highly recommend it!

This is perfect for anyone that just wants protein without any additives. I love all the products I’ve tried from this brand. I’ve bought the goat milk protein as well as the cow with whey, casein and egg blend. When I first started using Naked band protein it was because I didn’t like what most powders add for flavor or sweetness. I know how to toss a few things in a blender to make a healthy and delicious smoothie. I’m so glad I found a high quality option for just protein.

I am someone who can’t handle whey concentrate since I am mildly lactose sensitive (lots of bloating/gas) so it’s nice to see Naked drop a whey isolate product. It works great and seems to be a competent isolate since it does not bother my stomach at all when I use it with just water and some sweetener.
Speaking of water, it blends up great in my shaker with just water and some vanilla stevia drops. Not a lot of foaming and no clumping. I can drink this without flavoring/sweetener but I don’t recommend it since it doesn’t taste great by itself. I’d recommend planning to sweeten it with your preferred sweetener or add it to something like a smoothy or food.

Naked Whey ISO is about as close as you can get to pure protein and just protein. A gram of protein has roughly 4 calories, and one serving of this product has 120 calories and 30 grams of protein — you can do the math.
Since I’m on a high-protein, low carb diet, I really like Naked Whey ISO as a supplement. I tried it with two of my usual “recipes”. First, I made my standard lunchtime protein shake in a blender using 12oz of water and ice, one serving of the supplement, one 5.3oz 80cal tub of high-protein vanilla Greek yogurt, and 100g of fresh strawberries. The resulting shake has 43g of protein and just 235 calories. The Naked Whey ISO blended well and was essentially tasteless. The resulting shake was sweet enough with just the strawberries and the artificial sweetener in the yogurt, and the strawberry taste dominated. I did not need or miss the flavor or additional sweetness provided by more typical protein supplements.
Next morning, my next recipe was to mix half a serving of Naked Whey ISO with one serving of protein pancakes. This boosts the pancakes usual protein content of 16g to 31g, with a total of 280 calories. Again the supplement mixed well and did not add any noticeable flavor. The pancakes tasted good, but they were denser than usual, either because of the whey or because out of caution I may have not have used enough water in the new recipe.
Naked Whey ISO comes in a canister rather than in a bag like some other supplements that I use, but I don’t mind this cannister since it’s not twice as big as it needs to be to hold the unopened product, unlike many muscle-building products that try to look “macho”. The supplied scoop is accurate and holds half a 32g serving of product.
Admittedly, there are benefits to some of the additional ingredients found in more typical protein supplements. But I am adding this to the rotation of protein supplements that I use in my daily shakes, and I am looking forward to using this as a protein booster in pancakes, waffles, and other recipes as appropriate. In my book, it easily rates five stars.

So, compared to similar whey protein powders I’ve tried, this had two issues. One was that it has a noticeably saltier flavor (when mixed just in water on its own) for some reason. The other is that it seems to clump more and have a harder time mixing in to whatever you mix it in. It was stuck in clumps on the bottom of my shaker cup, and clumped in the little shaker mixer ball. The first problem is pretty easily solved by mixing in some other flavor to your protein shake, but the clumping issue is a bit harder to solve. I assume it’s a trade-off with the minimal ingredients. It’s more natural, but you deal with difficulty mixing it. It’s up to you if you want the convenience or the natural aspect. So, this works in that it does give you protein, but I took off a star because the taste and especially the clumping made me like it less than other ones I’ve tried.

I’ve used this twice in my daily protein shake and absolutely love it! It has no flavor at all, so all you taste is the ingredients you add. I added it to frozen bananas, blueberries, strawberries, and mango chunks with oat milk as the base and blended for a little over a minute. It blends well, and I feel really good about not having any added fillers or additives. The other ingredient is sunflower lecithin, a supplement my doctor suggested I try taking to help with digestion, so it’s nice to avoid taking an extra pill too. Overall, I’m really happy with this simple protein powder.
