Obviously this protein is very healthy. There’s no fillers or anything of that nature. It mixes extremely well. A little chalky. I got the chocolate peanut butter. It’s a lot more heavy on the peanut butter than it is on the chocolate. I have to say I really thoroughly enjoy it. There’s no bloating like you get with whey protein. I can’t wait to experience other flavors.

This protein is the simplest. Clean single ingredient vegan protein. You don’t have to be vegan to use this, it’s just a no brainer. I prefer the unflavored unsweetened as I use it mostly for smoothies and add all kinds of things for variety. I was using another popular organic vegan brand from the membership only big store C****o but it was sickly sweet so you couldn’t add any fruit or anything. I think you’re just supposed to drink that one without adding anything but BORING and Yuck. THIS POWDER IS NOT BORING OR YUCK! Blends well, works well with others! Super economical. Please don’t raise the price or lower servings for corporate greed. Treat your customers well and you still have a company and a job to go to. This is what I would call a No BS old school protein. I will keep buying it and recommending it.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with Naked protein powder so I bought the cheapest size. Having tried it for a few days, I’m happy to say that it’s great. It tastes a bit like soy milk. It also blends very easily in water; I just add water and stir and I don’t have to deal with clumps.
I bought the chocolate flavor but it’s so very subtle that the chocolate flavor is practically nonexistent. It’s also more expensive than another brand that I tried, but tastes about the same. So while this brand is great, I’ll be buying the other brand instead due to the price.

Ordered this protein as a replacement for my regular nuzest, which has now gone up to £50 a kg!
This tastes really bad, even when blended with all sorts the bitter taste remains. I’m struggling to choke any of this down and am likely to bin the rest which is a massive shame.

It was definitely a challenge just to break the seal of the screw-on lid; you really have to give it a good hard turn to break that first point of contact. I was happy to see that it had a second seal covering the opening. I blended approximately 800 mL of water with five scoops of the fine protein powder (the static electricity is normal) I added four slices of banana just to add a little bit of taste and four pieces of avocado. The blending process was easy and no clumps or grittiness were present afterwards. The taste is actually very bland but not bad at all. If you’re used to sweetness, as is in a lot of protein powders, this will definitely be a shock because there’s absolutely no taste of sweetness. It reminded me a little bit of eating Pablum when I was a child, which I don’t mind the taste of.
I emailed sales@nakednutrition.com, to ask when the Canadian online store would be up and running and what was the name of the company that tests their products. According to Jeffrey A. Quinones, Naked Nutrition uses Eurofins Scientific, located in the USA, for their third-party testing and unfortunately, they do not have any updates as to when their Canadian online store will be running. This perturbed me because Naked Nutrition offers a 20% discount if you sign up and give them your mobile number but then cannot honour it because they have no Canadian online store. They should not be offering discounts until they can honour them.
The yellow pea protein powder is an isolate that is completely free of additives, artificial sweeteners, thickeners, emulsifiers, etc., it’s just yellow pea protein powder. More important, is how it is processed. Naked ensures no contamination occurs from chemical detergents, synthetic additives, or heavy metals. It has great posted lab results if you are concerned with heavy metals in the product; the Arsenic is 20 times lower than the limits set by the AHPA. I guess peas aren’t subject to too much heavy metal absorption. Keep in mind heavy metals are in everything we eat.
So, the true question is would I buy it again? I definitely think so I like the fact that there is no other crap in it and that it is simply one ingredient, yellow pea protein. It has all but one of the essential amino acids; by adding hemp you complete the essential amino acid profile.

Tastes like an early Joe Weider formula I used to favour. However there is no vanilla taste to this product at all which is very disappointing. Guess I’ll be stuck with ordering the one without vanilla next time.

I needed vegan protein. This does not taste well with blueberries but seems to go well with strawberries and some peanut butter. I blend it and I usually have it with oat milk. I would suggest trying the small size first. I don’t think the unflavored is for everyone but it works for me.

I bought the chocolate pea protein. I tried it with almond milk and it did not well in my bottle hand mixer. It stuck to the whole top. Chalky texture and I had to add anton of water to it so it could mix up a little better. I will try it with something else but almond water/water did not mix well with it. The taste was not very good. Not very good chocolate flavor. I wanted a protein that didn’t have all the added preservatives or nutrients since I take other supplements and food for my nutritional value and did not want to overdose on my vitamins. I will finish it and maybe try something different in the future. Will update if I can find a way to make this taste better. Ingredients are awesome and simple.

Did not come with a scoop inside, so that’s kinda annoying. I’m just using my 1/4 measuring cup as a scoop instead. 1/4cup is basically equal to 64cc or 4tbsp, the serving size.
EDIT: Found the scoop! It did have a scoop, but it was really buried down deep in the powder, even though the jar only comes half-full because of compacting down during shipping. So go digging in your powder and you’ll probably find your scoop.
It smells faintly of peas and it will taste like horrible pea chalk if you just eat it by itself. I strongly do not recommend putting this in water. You need to put it in a smoothie or sauce or something so you can barely taste it. I do a morning smoothie every morning: 14 cups spinach and 2 cups orange. It’s a huge smoothie and I can still taste a hint of peas from behind the spinach. If you do smaller smoothies, then you might want to do 1/2 serving size so the pea taste doesn’t overwhelm.
I doubt many protein powders taste that good unless you dump a ton of sugar and fat into them. So don’t expect “pea chalk” to taste good by itself or in a glass of water. Put it in a smoothie or something else and it should be fine, even if you can still taste a hint of peas.
UPDATE:
While the plain Naked Pea powder is fine, I really wanted the taste of peas to be toned down a little…. but I didn’t want to add bananas or anything else to my smoothie. So I decided to try out the Vanilla Naked Pea powder. It’s PERFECT. Having that bit of sugar and vanilla in the powder totally knocks down the strong pea taste and my smoothie tastes great again.
I don’t think you have to have the vanilla or chocolate favored version if you’re putting enough stuff in your smoothie, but if you think the plain pea protein is still too strong, then definitely try out the vanilla or chocolate version. It makes such a difference.
I did also try out the vanilla flavored KOS protein powder because its rated as the “best tasting” by many websites. I did NOT like it. It was 10000x times TOO sweet. It was giving me a headache and a stomach ache it was so sweet. It was so overwhelming that even with 14 cups of spinach, I couldn’t taste ANY of the spinach, all I could taste was an atomic bomb level of vanilla sweetness. That is seriously strong stuff to be able to overwhelm all of that spinach in my smoothie.
So I’m definitely sticking with Vanilla Naked Pea. Just a bit of sweetness to make it pleasant and hide the pea taste without giving me atomic bomb levels of sweetness that literally cause stomach aches and headaches and make it impossible to taste anything else in your smoothie.
I do NOT recommend putting plain Naked Pea in water to drink. Definitely need to put it in a smoothie or something else. But you might be able to put the Vanilla or Chocolate version of Naked Pea in water and be OK. It really does knock down almost all of the pea flavor, so the main thing you’re tasting is vanilla or chocolate, even in plain water.

(Shakes made with almond milk and greens)
BLUF: Smooth drinkability, nutritient dense, taste ..what you would expect (but doable).
BY ITSELF, the flavor is a bit off-putting. It tastes like powdered peas, as you’d expect. But mixed with almond milk and the only good tasting greens I’ve ever found (Jocko, surprisingly), it’s pretty good.
Very smooth, easy to drink. I’ve tried various protein powders over the last 15 years (athlete) and this is the only one my stomach accepts. I hated all the others, even if they tasted good, because they would sit so heavy. Just gross, heavy liquid.
I purchased my first tub earlier this week and came back for the 5lb in order to incorporate more shakes into my diet. I’m experimenting with anti-inflammatory foods (mostly vegetables, the one thing I’m not good about eating) and need to make sure I’m getting the protein I need. At 27g per serving, it’s not too difficult.
This has been perfect. I highly recommend. I’m very sketched out about buying any protein outside of nutrition authority (read your labels!) but will keep coming back for this.
