I’ve been taking this curcumin supplement from ProHealth Longevity for a few weeks now and have noticed less joint pain as of late, so I guess they have been worth it so far! I also haven’t had any side effects, so that’s even better!
They have been, however, a hard pill to swallow, but thankfully they are coated well and go down smoothly with no issues for me. Posting their spec sheets and lab testing results for us to see is also very reassuring!

These are rather large tablets, but easy to swallow and noticed no after taste. The tablets have a coating to protect form staining or dissolving in mouth. I really like that these are 3rd party tested and within the USA, i read and here more and more about the importance of third party testing.

I’ve been taking the supplement for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed! As someone who’s always on the lookout for natural ways to support my health, I was drawn to the potent anti-inflammatory properties of curcumin. This particular formula is optimized for maximum absorption, which I appreciate. The 1000mg dose per tablet is substantial, and I like that it’s free of unnecessary additives. I’ve noticed a reduction in joint discomfort and a general sense of well-being. While individual results may vary, I’m convinced that this supplement is a valuable addition to my daily routine. Five stars and a big thumbs up from this satisfied customer!

I’ve used Curcumin capsules in the past but had to stop because of side effects. These tablets have an enteric coating (which also keeps the yellow powder from staining your hands), so they should hopefully not give me the same problems. So far so good – no side effects after two weeks. And I am feeling good! ProHealth is a top company so I have no doubts about what they produce, and their posting of 3rd party testing is just part of that trust. They always use the highest quality ingredients, and the higher cost is in line with that. My main comment is the tablets are bigger than I was expecting – standard tablet length (7/8 inch), but quite thick (1/4 inch). Unfortunately you can’t cut them in half because that would defeat the enteric coating. I’m not having any difficulties, the nice coating also seems to help them slide down my throat, but probably these wouldn’t be the best choice if you have difficulty swallowing large pills.

Some people really like curcumin for the health benefits (to each their own research).
But what the heck is Optimized Curcumin Longvida? According to some google paraphrasing: “Considered the most bioavailable and highly absorbable curcumin form”. Curcumin is that yellow polyphenolic compound that comes from the rhizomes of the Curcuma longa plant, also known as turmeric.
When it comes to supplements for me the representations are only as trustworthy as the brand. In this case I declare ProHealth a very established and reputable brand with a broad range of products listed and many good reviews.
At current price of ~$54 for 60 tabs (30-60 days supply), I rate 4-STARS in consideration of price/value/choices.

I don’t like the size of the pill. It is larger than most and though you take one per day, it Is can be challenging for some to swallow. The overall effects (for me) is minimal. I think I may feel a little less joint pain. As with all supplements, they affect everyone differently. Not sure if I’d recommend this on the fact that it is larger and I didn’t feel much out of it.

If you’re the type that can’t take large tablets, you can stop reading now. This thing is large, and hard. Not the easiest to get down for many people.
If you’re still reading, I’ll start by saying I do think this is a quality supplement. I have had no adverse side effects, and the fact that it is 3rd party tested is a big plus.

I read several studies on optimized Curcumin explaining why most turmeric supplements don’t work. I have taken these for 4-5 months and have not noticed any difference in my joint pain. They are too expensive to keep using and getting little results.
