My ophthalmologist highly recommended I start using this product for my extremely dry eyes. She cautioned me it would take a few months to start feeling the benefits, and she was right. But it was worth the wait. As long as I take it daily, as prescribed, my eyes have become increasingly, markedly less dry – and I tried absolutely everything before I found this little miracle cure, from an assortment of non-preservative eye drops to tear duct punctal plugs. As a vegan, I actually use the algae version, which is just as effective as the fish oil OV, according to my doctor. Can’t say I love the flavor, and I make a quick run for the mouthwash just after I slug down a teaspoon of this still-fishy tasting supplement. But it is most definitely healing my severely dry eyes, so it’s well worth a quick moment of an unpleasant taste.
