The capsule is unremarkable and standard, clear and about the size of a nickel lengthwise, making it slightly inconvenient to swallow but no more than a normal multivitamin.
I used this product in a few different ways and found my best results to be when taking 1 capsule first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and then once upon finishing my workout. This was based on a few days of trial and error as well as some research on N-acetyl L-tyrosine, or NALT. The way this supplement works is by providing your body the building blocks for dopamine which may normally come from diet, but this can be helpful in those who are either fasting, overall deficient in protein, or may have other issues getting sufficient dopamine synthesis.
Personally, although this supplement claims to be ergogenic as a secondary function, I did not personally notice these effects when supplementing with it, however the focusing effects were noticeable in some situations. In days where I did not get enough sleep or had a high stress day at work or night prior, I did find that the NALT had a helpful effect. During my workouts I previously found it hard to get “in the zone,” staring past mirrors into space and not able to achieve a significant connection with the muscle. While I did not get more energy from this supplement, or at least not enough to notice a difference correlated with anything other than caffeine intake, I was able to reduce the incidence of these “zone outs.”
At work I noticed a marginal effect at best. This is still only a supplement, and on days where my sleep was out of line I did not notice much effect at all at work. It is also important to note that this supplement, if taken in a stack with other nootropics, could cause interactions with other supplememts or medicines such as L-Dopa.
To summarize; Dopamine regulating substances can be extremely helpful in the right situations. This is a relatively weak one, not directly stimulating production or reuptake but providing the natural building blocks necessary to ensure a sufficient supply, which could in turn increase focus in the gym or at work, however given the potential for overuse and downregulation this is not a bad thing when it comes to dopaminergic supplements, it is more of a base supplement. This can be most efficaciously deployed as part of a well designed nootropic stack.

I don’t take Tyrosine but my hubby has been a fan of this stuff for years. He reports he gets a nice “alertness boost” when taking this in the AM hours and that this brand hasn’t seemed any better or worse than his usual go-to; I guess these means it’s all pretty standard. He also says he hasn’t experienced any heartburn (which apparently can happen with tyrosine) and that there’s no odd taste or odors. The bottle comes with external and internal safety seals. There’s some additional rice flour and gelatin so just be aware of that. Our bottle, requested summer 2023, expires 9/2025. So no issues…. but….
I am always curious about where any supplement is physically made when a bottle, like this one, doesn’t use definitive language about where it’s sourced and made. This bottle states it’s manufactured for a US company but that doesn’t mean it’s sourced or actually made here. I checked out their website and the FAQ says “based out of Utah”. But never any “made in the USA” kind of wording. In my experience, when a vitamin/supplement is made in USA, they really like to tout it on the label and in marketing. Most people won’t care where this is from and I could be barking up the wrong tree… but just pointing it out as I’m persnickety like that. But the husband is happy and the price point here is pretty good, so I’ll end my rant with a wan recommendation. 4.5 stars isn’t an option so gonna round down.

I prefer made in USA and that it says where in USA🇺🇸
Also 3rd party and standardized etc…
So id prefer to buy those, however this worked fine

So tyrosine is not particularly as much for energy
