Boron can be used to aid in sleeping, concentration, muscle growth, and bone density. I used it mainly as a sleep aid and as part of a blend of my own nootropics. The main thing you need to understand about boron is that it does not get assimilated into the body easily. For example, if you want to use it for getting a better night sleep, then be sure to take it about 2 hours or more before sleeping. Because it takes a while to be absorbed, when using it for cognitive enhancement, I would take boron several hours earlier and may take multiple small doses throughout the day. Then whenever I want mental focus, I would engage in that mental activity (reading, writing, solving, etc.) for 10-15 minutes, and then take the rest of my nootropics at that time. Boron acts as a base and is already in my system by then.

We received this item to review because we already take a variety of supplements, but have never taken Boron. This supplement was completely my Dr’s and my radar. I started taking one capsule with my dinner 5 hours before bed. From the first morning I can tell you that I actually felt like I slept better. It was only then I started to research this supplement. I found the benefits of this supplement were fantastic and were all over the board from healthy bones, Anti cancer properties, hormone health, increases testosterone, increases brain functions, helps reverse arthritis, heals skin, fight diabetes, Boron is of course found naturally in foods, but we all know that we can’t eat enough food to sustain A consistent level of this supplement.
I have only been using this mineral for 3 weeks now and I track my sleep every night with my Apple Watch. I can tell you that my data shows that I am waking up much less during the night as I did before taking this supplement. I fall asleep faster and sleep longer and fall back to sleep if I wake up during the night quicker. I also feel I have more energy, probably due to better sleep. Understand that I take other supplements in addition to this product before bed so if you’re reading this review your results may vary from mine. As I get older I am trying to make sure I get the vitamins and minerals my body needs to stay healthy. Boron supplements were suggested in a men’s health magazine that I subscribe to. It also said you could safely take 20mg per day. I saw that these supplements by PrimaForce are 5mg and thought this would be a good amount for me to start with.
The capsules are small and easy to swallow, without any aftertaste. They are smaller than a penny. When taking any supplements, I am always concerned about quality and safety. These came with a safety seal around the cap and a inner seal over the top. The description mentions they are made in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliant and FDA registered facility. That simply means the facility these are made in uses specific manufacturing and testing standards that has been registered with the US FDA. Personally, I find that very reassuring with these pills that are something I am going to ingest on a daily basis. These pills appear to be effective in helping with my muscle coordination and memory.

I have low vitamin D and I was advised by a natrupath to use boron (since I can’t take Vitamin D supplements to to poor reaction). Apparently, Boron has a mechanism that keeps the Vitamin D in the body longer. Anyways, as a pleasant side effect, I noticed it helps me sleep better. I partiularly like this brand because it only has rice flour as inactive ingridient and no other fillers which makes it easy to digest for me. I have a real sensetive digestion. I open the capsule and pour it on my dinner meal. That way I don’t even digest the capsule shell and that works for me.
