This is a cooling gel formula. If you have the problem cooling sometimes what you need. Tends to run a little more than other varieties. If you are using disposable underwear not a problem. If not I would stay with the ointment. Not liking to have this condition but this provides some

This product do not work very well. I don’t understand the reviews of those people that say it worked. The gel is watery, which makes it hard to apply.

This is basically a combo of the ingredients in Tucks and the main ingredient in Prep H. It is 50% Witch hazel and .25% Phenylephrine HCL in a gel base.
First the good news. It works very well. Easy to apply and stays on as it is a little sticky. Very useful as you don’t need Tucks and Prep H, you get both in 1 shot. The effects last a long time, relief was quickly and sustained.
Now the bad news. For the first 20 seconds it felt a bit like I had put kerosene on instead of Prep H. Literally. It burns a lot. Full disclosure I was a bit raw when I put it on, was not have a “good day” so to speak.
Despite the initial reaction, it did significantly cool things down and each subsequent application was less intense. In the end (no pun intended) I bought a 2nd tube and now use it a preventative maintenance.
Overall a very good product but depending on the severity of your symptoms and the location of your rhoid(s) you may want something a little less potent. A good test would be if you are having any discomfort from a Tucks pad I’d stay way far away from this product.
