over 30 years of suffering from reflux and bloating! i took all kinds of PPI medicine (like pariet Zantac panthron…) that makes my case worst!!! they only reduce acid in the stomach that i ends up with undigested food which results in severe pain in my intestine on a daily basis! by chance after i get introduced to hcl!

My doctor recommended i take these – and have now for over a year. If you still have heartburn when you take them – you need to increase your dose – I have some other issues – but I take 5 pills with each meal and no more heartburn. SO if 1 or 2 doesn’t work feel free to increase the dose until you have no heartburn after eating. Great product. great price

I have been using Prothera Betaine HCL for 3 years, but it was not available the last time I needed to order it, so I tried this. Sadly, even though it is a lower dosage, it gives me stomach aches and burning in my esophogus. I used to take the Prothera at the beginning of my meal and had no problems. I did that with this product and got the burning. Tried it at the end of my meal and still got the same thing, plus a stomach ache. Tried it half-way through my meal and had the same reaction. What gives!?
