Potassium is a very important mineral that often gets overlooked. Most people assume they get enough potassium from their diet alone, but many diet fads may actually contain less than optimal potassium levels. Potassium is important for keeping blood pressure in a normal range. Potassium also supports calcium levels in the body and helps prevent osteoporosis. It also regulates water retention and helps maintain healthy kidney function.
Supplements can support a diet low in potassium. Each high potency Pyunafit capsule contains 500mg of potassium citrate. One or two capsules a day will definitely offset low dietary potassium intake. They are simple to swallow and have not caused me any stomach irritation or other side effects.

Manufactured For: a company in Canada – High dose 21% of suggested daily amount, per 2 capsules. Since potassium deficiency is fairly rare, as I understand it, there is no actual RDA for it, but there is a suggested daily value, which seems to be 3,500 mg’s a day. This potassium product says it has 1,000 mg of potassium per serving, which is 2 capsules. 21% of 3,500, is 735…. so I assume this brand has 735 mg’s of “elemental” potassium, per serving, which is derived form the broader 1,000 mg’s of potassium. That’s how it would work with magnesium anyway, and it would figure this is the case for potassium as well, both being minerals..
And what, I guess they changed the rules and I didn’t hear about it, because in the past the highest dose a serving of potassium could have, according to the FDA, was 99 mg. If this was the only brand that, all of a sudden seemed to have a 1,0000 mg dosage, I’d think they made a huge mistake and didn’t understand the rules, but I saw quite a few brands now, offering 1,000 mg versions… which is great because when you need 3,500 mg’s a day, taking a pill that only has 100 mg’s in it, seems rather hopeless and inconsequential, unless you take 10 of them or something…. it’s great to have this higher dosage version now.
And Canada is one of the few other countries that I personally see fit to honestly produce products that match label claims…. my only beef is that this fact wasn’t stated at all in the description, not even down in the Product Details section, toward the bottom of the page, under, Country Of Origin… as of today’s date, this is left blank and unanswered. Label say distributed by a company in Canada, which does leave the door open to it actually being made, in another country, but I’d hate to think that was the case… either way it should be clarified, up front. Great product.

I ordered this potassium supplement because I’m prone to leg cramps that wake me up at all hours of the night. This product didn’t reduce the problem as much as I had hoped it might. I won’t be buying more of this.

I’ve seen the same recommendations for 3-4000 mg – but the suggestion has been through diet, not supplements. Through diet, it would seem very hard to overdose (if not achieve), that level. At 1000mg for two capsules, the idea might be to encourage eating more potassium rich products – rather than counting on supplements. I love tomato products; and they’re at the top of the list.
More information about the company would provide more confidence – as would clinic trials.

Simple 1000mg of potassium. No frills or thrills. It was just manufactured November 2024 (posting this December 2024) so pretty new and freshly made. Double sealed and pretty easy to swallow gel caps.

My potassium level always seems to run low, so my doctor suggested taking a supplement. I found these and I really liked them. Take 2 capsules a day for an easy 1000mg. So far I have not experienced any leg cramps since I’ve been taking these.

These are a perfectly good potassium citrate supplement, though nothing special. The package info is clear and there was no spillage or leaked powder in the bottle. These well-made and well-sealed are medium sized veggie caps (as opposed to bovine gelatin). There are different types of potassium supplements, so be sure to see if potassium citrate is the one you want (as opposed to potassium bicarbonate for example). My late December 2023 order has an expiration date of November 2026.
