This has a bitter taste. It may be better if you can find caps or a tincture. I take a lot of different herbs and even chew Chinese and Ayurvedic herbal tablets, so I’m used to different herbal tastes, but this stuff is definitely going to be hard for some folks to handle. Still, I take it daily as part of the regimen I’m on and tolerate the taste for its benefits. Still, you may want to add plenty of water to dilute the taste or find another form other than powder if your health practitioner is okay with that.

I recommend this product. The taste is fine. It taste better than I expected. I mix 1 tsp of clay power with water and let it sit overnight. I drink first thing in the morning. And it seems it help me have bowl movements. I’d recommend as a good internal cleanser. .

This stuff works fast.I found that it does not dissolve in cold liquids and tastes lousy, so I mix it in with flavored yogurt and it is fine that way.But hey – healing beats taste any day!

I’m sure it works wonders for a lot of people, but it made my hair fall out in clumps after very small dosages. Apparently, it’s a rare side effect. I never have side effects! No idea if it works or not

I used Mimosa Pudica in capsule form for 37 days, with Cascara Sagrada caps, 2Xday (plus more stuff; I’m a detox prof/coach). This product is loose powder, a 4oz bottle. It is fresh and freshly ground, by the oiliness. Mix with applesauce, a fantastic carrier! I also add 1/4tsp DMSO to carry the activity into the organs. Be sure to use herbals/cordyceps/extra distilled drinking water to keep liver flushed due to herxing. Enemas are your friend. Liquid diet via your smoothie make. Examine all poo. You will be shocked. After a second month, do lifetime maintenance. Everyone should do this.

My naturopath recommended Mimosa pudica to treat parasites. At first I tried this powder made from the whole plant. It is very fragrant so after a week it began bothering my gut. It also caused an increase in bowel movements which generally doesn’t happen when you begin parasite treatment. The opposite is actually a sign that it’s working. When I switched to a product with only mimosa pudica seeds I began noticing signs that it was working almost immediately. This seems to be a good product and I’m sure it would help other conditions as there are multiple uses for mimosa pudica depending on which part of the plant you use. But for parasites I suggest using a product with only the seeds of the plant.

Pure powder, easy to mix into kefir or juice or whatever. Taste is bearable but definitely not enjoyable. I think this works very well to kill parasites. Take it as directed.

My sister has had thyroid problems for years and a couple years ago started having major food allergies. Since regular doctors couldn’t come up with any help she paid to go to a Certified Functional Doctor. Health insurance doesn’t cover them. One of the things he recommended was this brand of mimosa powder. I had to buy an 1/8 teaspoon measuring spoon because I took too much and became constipated. A level 1/8 tsp works great for me. Thank gawd for the bidet attachment on my toilet. More is not always better.
I have had major sinus and ear problems all my life. I also had a major cat bite years ago that landed me in the hospital for four days and a tube directly through my vein and into my heart to deliver the antibiotic, Augmentin. I was on intervenious antibiotics for over eight weeks. That was the start of major Thrush, Candida problems in my mouth. I also got a lot of what I thought were sinus and ear infections. It finally dawned on me after researching it on Google that Candida can infect your sinuses and ears too. Most Ear, Nose and Throat websites said it could only be removed surgically! Ugh! I’m not about to have an ENT digging around in my head!
After more do it yourself research, I found that organic Coconut Oil is just as effective as Fluconisol, the prescription med for Candida. My PCP used to have me take it for a bad breakout. The only problem is it can effect your liver enzyme levels. Well, I did as anyone intelligent would do and bought a great Organic Coconut Oil (on Amazon). It does work great for Candida and fungus infections in your mouth, but once it gets into your sinuses and ears it’s hard to get out. I did the next smartest thing and typed “Candida cleanse” into Amazon. I came up with two different brands of herbal capsules with hundreds of rave reviews. As they has slightly different ingredients, ie: Oregano Oil instead of Oregano leaves, I alternate them. It worked but once the Candida was gone I realized I still had fungus in my mouth, sinuses and ears. I went to an Infectious Disease Doctor and she verified the Candida was gone, but couldn’t identify what was still in my ears, etc.. so once again I started more research and found out fungal sinusitis is common in people with Fybromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which I’ve had for twenty-five years.
Well I continued on the herb capsules and Coconut Oil because many of the reviews said it worked for fungus too. The side effect from these cleanses is the dead yeast in Candida and dead fungus can be toxic and make you ill. By taking the Mimosa powder I have been able to avoid this. I buy tissues by the case and try to spit out as much of the bad stuff as I can, but I knew some was getting into my system. My PCP referred me to an ENT and I’ll go, but by the time I do I just want them to verify I have done the job right!
My other reason for being on my second bottle of Mimosa Powder is a blood test I had that showed I had a double MTHFR A1298C genetic mutation. That’s what my sister’s Certification Funtional doctor had found was causing her to be allergic to wheat, soy and corn! Her research found it causes your cells to have problems detoxing. It is also a suspected cause of Fybomyalgia, Chronic Fatigue and depression! Duh, I told my PCP in NJ and his jaw dropped. He did research and found it can be identified with a simple blood test which he ordered. Sure enough I got the same double gene mutation from mom and dad! The Mimosa powder helps to clean your gut, which is where I read much Seratonin is normally made. After just a few weeks taking the Mimosa powder it was noticeable how much better my depression was. After twenty-five years on Zoloft (Sertriline) I no longer have to take it. A D3 capsule daily and voila, much happier me. I still get a little seasonal depression, but keeping my Christmas lights up during the long winter nights takes care of that.
Another issue I have had for many years is elevated liver enzyme levels. I got blood test results a few years back and my NJ PCP asked me to stop my evening cocktails for a few days, just before Christmas no less. Well I did it and got a second blood test. My enzyme levels were higher. After a good laugh with my Doctor I researched what else can raise levels. My cholesterol prescription medicine was on the top of the list. I told my doc I would stop taking it for 10 days and the new blood work showed my enzyme levels had plummeted! Yea! He gave me a different type prescription and that seemed to take care of the problem. Well now my CA PCP has been tracking my levels again, changed brands and doses of statin cholesterol prescriptions. Argh! He now wants me to go to a Hepatologist because he suspects the start of Fatty Liver Disease! Argh again! As healthy livers are important, I made an appointment but they couldn’t see me till June, over two months from now. More research listed my depression med, Zoloft and my statin med as culprits. Geez, the pharmaceutical company’s are slowly killing me! I never trusted them anyway. Well, I stopped taking five of my six medications; I still take my high blood pressure stuff twice a day. Since I have felt so much better after taking the Mimosa, I figured it was worth a shot. I bought Red Yeast Rice capsules on Amazon for cholesterol. And have been doing great. By the time I see the liver doctor I hope to be a poster child for a healthy liver!
One thing about Mimosa powder is it is black. I drink it in warm tap water, but you could put it in coffee and hardly know it’s there. My sister and I don’t mind the taste, in fact finally realized it tastes like Postum, a decaf coffee substitute our mom used to drink in the 60’s! The only problem is it has stained my teeth where the enamel is weak, near my gums. I’m 68 years old and have good teeth, it’s just gum problems has caused my gums to recede a little. I’ll use Crest White strips to remedy the problem once I no longer need Mimosa. Meanwhile, a little research on Amazon (again) and I found a Japanese toothpaste that helps strengthen the enamel on your teeth! Once they’re white again I’ll use that.
I think this the longest review I’ve ever written and I don’t write a lot reviews anymore, but I wanted everyone to know what a good product this is and what kind of maladies it’s good for. I always let my CA PCP know what I was doing and even took the Candida capsules and Mimosa bottle in to let him know what I was taking. He’s sceptical, but I think sceptical docs are more common than common scense ones! My NJ PCP’s daughter had an MA in Nutrition and he saw the light thanks to her! He appreciated all my research and finding natural ways to deal with my health problems. I’ll have to call him to let him know about Mimosa Powder.
