The taste of this hydration mix reminds me of high-sodium hydration mixes that tend to taste a bit saltier than the versions with less salt. This hydration mix has a moderate sodium content (530mg), but it has a saltier flavor. I am not complaining–I like the saltiness! The salty undertones blend well with the lemonade flavor of the mix. In terms of ingredients, it contains sodium, other electrolytes, B and D vitamins, coconut powder, and unspecified trace minerals. So it has quite a few other ingredients that might help with hydration or energy compared to other brands. The mix dissolves in well in water, but you do have to shake or stir vigorously to get it to dissolve. In terms of flavor and ingredients, I would rate this a 5/5. However, it does come at a higher price point than most hydration mixes, so I am deducting a star for the high price.

It was really important to me to find something without a bunch of sugar or too much sodium, very happy to find this! Not too sweet, but lots of flavor and there are a ton of vitamins. I’ve noticed that I haven’t had headaches since I’ve been drinking them once to twice a day. Sometimes I’ll use one stick in 42 oz of water and it still tastes great.
This is my second bag and it’s definitely my favorite hydration product I’ve tried.

Whenever I get something sugar free it always gives me pause. I love sugar. I’m a southern born and raised and we like some tea with our sugar on occasion. I see shops up north selling ‘unsweetened southern style tea’ and I’m like… what the heck is southern style about that? Anyways, what I’m getting at is that I don’t like most artificial sweeteners, but whatever they used in this passes the sniff test.
The packets are bigger than average, and I haven’t had a whole lot of luck with the tear off perforations, so if space is tight or you don’t have a small pair of scissors on hand these might annoy you a bit, but I can’t recall any packet of this sort with a reliable opening mechanism and chances that you can’t carry this because it’s too large are pretty slim. The packets can flavor a lot of liquid. It says 16-32 oz. I’m going at the upper end of that range, about 28 oz, and the flavor is still pretty strong to me.
It contains a lot of vitamin C and D, which could come in handy if you’re not a fan of fortified milk. I don’t really care one way or another personally, but the addition of these vitamins doesn’t seem to affect the flavor negatively. It doesn’t taste like medicine. You could, if necessary, use it to get some vitamin C into a sick and dehydrated child and they’re unlikely to complain unless they just won’t drink anything at all.
It warns that the powder may clump, but mine has not. I mix it with a milk frother because I have it and I don’t see why I should use a spoon instead of it. It does not dissolve completely and always leaves a bit of stuff in the bottom of the glass, but I don’t care. It rinses out easily and doesn’t leave any kind of film so you can re-use the same glass or bottle all day if you want without it getting gross if you lightly rinse it out between uses.

Got this for a 3 day elk hunting trip in Colorado and it lived up to the name! I have tried a bunch of hydration powders and this was by far the best flavored one I have had. Loved the extra vitamins without all the sugar. When hunting at high altitudes with full packs and little access to water, hydration efficiency is a must and these did the job perfectly. Felt great everyday! These are now my go to hydration supplements.

I have tried a bunch of different hydration/electrolyte packets and this one is good, but a little pricier than others that I have tried. I think the hydration packet is full of good stuff–vitamins, potassium, sodium, etc. and I like that it is sugar free. The taste is good, especially if you add it to a seltzer–than it tastes like a fancy hydration pack! I like drinking these at the pool or during the summer when I am sweating a lot. The downside is that it is more expensive than others that I have tried. Overall, this is good, but there are other electrolyte packets I have tried that are less expensive, that I would probably rather buy again, than this one.

So….why not list the ingredients in any of the listing photos??? I took one so you can know what you’re actually ordering. This is a bag full of single-serve packs. Right now the current price is around $43 for 24 single serve packs…Which comes to about a dollar and seventy nine cents each. If I’m paying that, I’ll just buy something premixed. Also, I was really surprised by the “Contains Tree Nuts” on the ingredients. Not sure how I feel about that.
As to taste, once I finally got it mixed in to some water (it was clumpy and hard to stir with a spoon—it eventually did stir in once it had a chance to sit there and rehydrate for a few minutes. Maybe it would dissolve better in a lidded container you could shake?), I gave it a taste. Not a fan. It tasted really sweet and really salty at the same time. Like if you dumped a bunch of salt into your lemonade.
