As far as I can tell this triphala serves many of the functions of other brands I have tried. It has a gentle cleansing property that is safe for long-term use. Triphala in general has a taste that takes some getting used to. It is better to actually taste herbs when you take them, because their function begins with experiencing their taste. Triphala is often unpalatable to many people but improves in flavor as you use it more and your body becomes cleaner. This specific product however, didn’t taste like any any other triphala I’ve had. I’ve gotten used to Banyan Botanicals’ as well as other organic triphala from bulk herb shops, probably coming from Frontier or Starwest Botanicals. They’ve all tasted the same. This product has a taste that I don’t quite want to call “chemical,” but it is leaning in that direction. I’m not fully convinced of the purity of this product. I tried to return it, but this item isn’t returnable. The texture is also VERY fine of this product which I don’t necessarily think is a bad thing, but all others I’ve tried have been a little grittier, which allows most of it to settle to the bottom of a glass of warm water. That’s my 2 cents.
Regardless of what triphala you use, the instructions are generally to mix 1/2 to 1 tsp. with warm water upon arising in the morning, taking it on an empty stomach. It’s not a stimulant laxative, but it will encourage better digestion in every way. It is nourishing and cleansing at the same time and also a good source of vitamin C from Amalaki, one of the “Three Fruits,” the English translation of “Triphala,” which I believe is Sanskrit.

I haven’t written a review about a supplement in a bit (and I’m trying quite a few!) but this one had such immediate and noticeable results I felt I must share my experience with anyone else struggling with IBS w/constipation! My condition has been dismissed by so many doctors and gastroenterologists who just tell me to take more fiber, excercise, send me home with laxatives. I eat a very healthy diet and have been able to cut out most foods that seem to cause major bloating and discomfort (just trial & error) but the continuously being stopped up seems to only be helped with overdosing on laxatives (I use Phillips Caplets, no cramping and works overnight if you take a bunch – basically epsom salt in a caplet). I found Triphala powder via a trendier supplement company then compared more affordable options on Amazon.
I love that it’s certified organic and I seriously works. Like in a I can’t believe this is so effective but I’m not going to question how magical it is kind of works. I put 1 1/2 Tsp in my morning smoothie, bulletproof coffee, or Matcha latte. It doesn’t much affect the taste. Within an hour I have a normal bowel movement, or if I’m stopped up and haven’t taken it in days, it relieves the back log (sorry for the pun) with no pain or cramping. I’ve read other reviewers saying they’ve used this to cleanse and I totally believe this is a great supplement to aid with that.
Anyways, I hope Triphala helps more people out there who are as uncomfortable as I was!!!!

This product was recommended to me and I am really happy with the results. It has a sweeter taste but It is torailable nontheless. Plus the results are fantastic which definitely outweighs the taste. It really helped with my stomach issues and I am not backed up like I was before. I had to intake a lot of fiber to keep up with it. Now I just add this to my morning shake and I don’t have any issues. This product definitely helped with my bowel movement so if your someone that is constantly battling that I would recommend this product. I am so glad that I don’t have to sit through meetings or at my desk feeling uncomfortable anymore.

It’s a very authentic product. The ones we get from India make the stomach upset. But, this product just soothes and cleanses the skin and the internal system.
Highly recommend this if you are into herbal cures for skin, hair and overall clean feel.

I used to get the triphala from a different company and when they discontinued it I was bumped so I looked on Amazon . This is helping so much being regular ! Anyone that has issues going i recommend it . I normally take it at night before bed . I put a scoop in a warm cup of water with some honey , and in the morning magic happens 😊
