I have been ordering Nutricost Astragalus powder for more than a year now. Until quite recently, before Nutricost Astragalus temporarily disappeared from Amazon, the powder had a pleasant nutty flavor, had a light color and easily dissolved in water. This new batch that I bought in October 2021 is of dark color and has a disgusting flavor. It also forms lumps in water. Utricost obviously changed the supplier and quality tanked. Disappointed.

I bought this for TA-65 which is a compound in astragalus that is shown to increase telomere length. Now how much Ta-65 is in 1 gram of this product? I have no idea. That said you really have to mix it good because it tends to clump. It doesn’t taste horrible, but it doesn’t taste great either. It’s like drinking a hybrid of spinach and asparagus juice.

Nice fine powder. Very light smell/taste. I got this to add to my dogs food. My girl got urinary tract infections and was peeing blood! After a second time and after some research, I use this with a combination of other powders (marshmallow root, astragalus root, cranberry & parsley) that is supposed to help with and promote good urinary health. Been using this for 6 months and she hasn’t had another UTI since. I also started taking the combo, why not. It’s healthy and natural. I mix it in my morning smoothies, doesn’t clump, easy to add to liquid and drink. No gritty texture, very smooth.
