Spent the past years trying several vegan protein powders… was already getting hopeless with the horrible chalky taste.
Then I found this brand for my luck!
It tastes so nice that I make it as a chocolate mousse to eat every day. And it doesn’t bloat me!

It has a very thick chocolate consistency but it’s palatable. I only use half of one scoop and it works fine for me. I like that it’s low in sugar. The price is reasonable. This has become my go-to protein powder.

I read other comments and was wondering if I should purchase the product. However, the price was good and I gave it a try. This is my observation:
– Flavor: comparable to other products (Garden of Life, etc). Not too tasty since it’s not very sweet but quite nice chocolate flavor (compared to other chocolate pea protein powders that I have tried). Chalky taste? Not as a few options I tried before. It could be different with other flavors (vanilla, etc but I didn’t try those so I don’t know)
– Blending: I just tried to blend it with room temperature water and it’s perfectly easy to blend. Some got stuck on the tip of the spoon but it’s not difficult to use a finger to push it down the glass and stir all to dissolve. The blend looks a bit shiny and we’ll blended.
– Value: for 18 servings, each with 22grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber, low carb, this is great value! I tried a few options before and they are very similar but at higher price points. Not $15 for 18 servings!! This is less than $1 per glass of high protein, easy to digest and won’t clog your stomach.
– Vegan friendly: okay mine only says could processed in facility with eggs and coconuts. I know it’s not ideal for vegan (I’m not a vegan). Quality could be issue as some people complained their product labels show processed in facility with milk, etc
– Design: this product looks totally similar to quite a few other products so I have no comments about their brand distinction in terms of standing on the shelves at all. All have green cap, white plastic box, label with lots of veggies, letter fonts, etc
– Shipping: 2 days, packed well
Should I buy it again? Yes, as I got decent value from the protein drink: economical price, high protein, easy to digest, good flavor.

My husband has been trying to lose “quite a few pounds” for years without consistent success – up and down 2-3 pounds only – even though he bikes (stationary) energetically on a daily basis! His daughter rhapsodized about how delicious this Purely Inspired Plant-Based Protein Powder for Men & Women, Rich Decadent Chocolate is – and brought a partially emptied container for him to sample. As a serious chocolate lover, he was skeptical but reluctantly agreed to try it – for her! – and there was immediate chocolate pleasure! He has lost 10# over 2 months with this approach: “normal” breakfast and a big salad for dinner, popcorn (Skinny Pop) for snacks…the difference is lunchtime: a 1 scoop in water lunch along with an apple and (Kirkland) nut bar. With the holidays here, he has a 1 scoop in water “snack” before heading off to a Thanksgiving feast (there were several over 5 days!) and it successfully dampened his appetite such that he ate very reasonably (not super “overfilled” as he normally would have been!) = so far so good with weight maintenance! I am confident his Doctor will be so pleased – if not relieved! – at his next weigh-in! (there was a “threat” that my husband would be referred to a nutritionist next & he dreaded that!)

This is the second container of Purely Inspired Organic Protein I’ve bought (I bought a vanilla flavor from Walmart and then Frosty Peppermint Mocha as seen here, from Amazon). Both of them have been impossible to open. The first one I had to break the lid with a hammer as no one in my family could get it open. The lid acts like it’s unscrewing and then stops and literally won’t move anymore. I won’t buy this again until they fix the lid because just now I actually hurt my hand trying to open it. I’m 46, and all three of my kids tried as well (23,19, and 15) so it’s not like we’re weak and frail. Something is wrong with the design and if you read other reviews, they’re having the same issue. I enjoyed the vanilla flavor (although it does have a strong stevia taste to it, I don’t mind that but its worth noting) but I haven’t been able to get into my Peppermint Mocha flavor to let you know how it is. Purely Inspired, if you’re reading this please know that I’d love to support your company because I did enjoy this powder, but please change the packaging, you can see in the photo how it’s almost open but completely stuck!
