Does great, doesn’t constipate.

I’ve been using Unjury for a few years and still love it. It’s rich, creamy, chocolatey and satisfies any kind of dessert craving. When blended with fruit it’s also very filling!!

I normally consume flavored protein powders. So getting an unflavored powder is not normal for me. Here are a few items that I have noticed:
1. The powder is sticky (but not like you might think). When you initially open a container of protein powder, you have to dig around in the powder to find the scoop. That was the case with this powder (which is fine). However, I noticed that my fingers were overly coated in the powder after I pulled out the scoop. Typically, a dusting of powder would be noticeable. However, for some reason, I had little clumps of powder on my fingers. This is NOT a deal breaker. It’s just something that I noticed with the product.
2. The product mixes well – even with a spoon (I mixed it with almond milk).
3. The protein powder doesn’t create an added taste (since it’s unflavored) or after taste. However, one item that I noticed was that the consistency was a little gritty (not smooth). I prefer a smooth beverage.
4. The pricing is about average (or slightly above average) for vegan protein powders.
Overall, the protein powder is fine for an unflavored version. I’m docking one star for the gritty consistency.

One of the best ways I can think of describing this protein powder is that it acts kind of like powdered hummus. It sounds strange, but stick with me for a second, because it’s mostly a good thing. When a small amount of liquid is added to the protein powder, it mixes up very smooth and creamy, a little like well-blended hummus. I loved using this as a dip or sauce. I often found myself adding a scoop of the powder to cooked vegetables along with some seasoning and greatly enjoying the results.
While the powder could be mixed with a glass of water to make a quick protein shake, it wasn’t something I would recommend very much. It was fine, but the protein powder has a slight flavor to it that I don’t like very much on its own. If we go back to the hummus reference, I think hummus can taste wonderful on its own, but I would not want to blend it with a glass of water. Hummus water just doesn’t seem appetizing.
I think that this is a very nice protein powder that is easy to include in a variety of dishes. I added it to things like pasta sauces, dips, and more. I tended to prefer it more in savory dishes rather than sweet, but it could go either way. A couple of things that sets this protein powder apart is that is mixes up super smooth and that it is unflavored so you can add it to just about anything. There are lots of options to explore.

This was recommended by my dietician for easy digestion. Taste is good, blends well, digests well.

I find it not bad at all, as far as protein powders. It mixes very smoothly in my 500-watt blender, without that chalky feeling that non-vegan and vegan protein powders tend to have. When I mix it with unsweetened almond milk, there’s a mild taste I can’t quite describe, which is easily covered up when I add unsweetened baker’s cocoa and artificial sweetener.
However, it’s only 15 servings per container, and quite expensive per container when you compare to whey protein powders. The reason to buy this is if you need a vegan option for protein (whether dietary or ethical reasons).

I’ve been using Unjury protein powders – particularly the unflavored whey – on and off for quite a few years. It’s no nonsense, medical-grade protein. I tried Planted when it was first offered, but wasn’t all that impressed I guess, because I never purchased it again.
I recently found Unjury available at Amazon and decided to give it another go. Being mostly plant based, my fingernails were weak and brittle so I began incorporating egg whites into my diet and then Unjury unflavored whey protein powder. Preferring plant based foods though, I decided to try the unflavored Planted.
To me, it has little to no flavor which is where it really hits it out of the park. It blends well with PB powder, spinach, strawberries, and a touch of sweetener. When I have more time, I’ll try using it in recipes – I love its versatility.
Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised by this!
