I purchased this sandalwood powder, expecting it to be organic as advertised. However, after mixing it with water and letting it sit for a few hours, I noticed blackish-brown residue forming around the edges. This residue is concerning and makes me feel like the product contains impurities, or fillers. I am extremely disappointed with the quality and expected a much purer product based on the description. This is not what I was hoping for and will not be purchasing again.

I like making myself exfoliating melt and pour soaps since I’m not a fan of sugar scrubs and sugar scrub bars once they get wet the sugar melts. I don’t like salt scrubs for the body either.
This sandalwood powder smells amazing out of the bag. Just like sandalwood. But when I put a generous amount in one bar that I made. Wow. It’s a medium-strong exfoliation, if u put more or less powder u can adjust the level of exfoliating. But man it works so good. I had a great shave after exfoliating my legs with this powder added to my soap. And it was the same in my next couple showers. The scent wasn’t there after it was added to the soap but that’s fine. I can always add fragrance if I wanted later. Will be buying again.
