I was looking for a collagen that had more natural ingredients and less sugar and came across this brand and it immediately caught my attention. It has hyaluronic acid which is great for increasing moisture and also improving the elasticity of skin making it tighter and firmer. Bamboo extract is also a natural plant ingredient that it nutrient and protein rich and comes with many great health benefits, which I love. The flavor peach mango alone is great and has me completely sold. It has a very smooth and refreshing taste to it. I’m taking this product to improve my joint health because I lift very heavy in the gym and they need extra support. Also looking forward to seeing hair growth and how it improves the texture of my skin. Overall, I’m very excited about this product and will be purchasing more once I’m out.

I have been taking collagen supplements for years now, and I can attest to their goodness for my body – yes, they do help with gut issues, and maybe, I hope, I want to hope… with skin issues. Overall, collagen as a supplement category is something that I feel very strongly about.
I decided to try this particular brand for three reasons. The first is that it also contains hyaluronic acid. I love hyaluronic acid as well. Like most of us, I first heard of hyaluronic acid as a component of skin creams but then learned that it is better to take it internally, helping not only the skin, but also the joints and the eyes (to my vanity’s dismay, joints and eyes beat wrinkles as a concern for me). I have been taking hyaluronic acid for about a year now, and either it has a very strong placebo effect, or that thing helps with aches all over… The trouble, however, with hyaluronic acid is that, if taken as a powder, it is a huge pain to dissolve in anything. So, at this point, +1 for the convenience of giving me something I actually want, and doing so in a decent manner. The powder does dissolve more-or-less in water, using a handheld milk frother I keep on my countertop for the different drinks I have during the day. However, dissolving is relative – the end result is a little gritty, and there is usually some powder left in the glass.
The second is the fact that it is marine collagen. Due to lower molecular weight, marine collagen is supposed to be more easily absorbed and more bioavailable than bovine, and potentially more potent. This seems to be the major driving force behind the plethora of marine collagen supplements that have entered the market lately.
The last reason was that it is flavored. I’ve found most marine collagen powders I’ve tried to be pretty icky, and I usually hide them in coffee… but this one is advertised as flavored, which means that it can act as a stand-alone drink. I have to say that I have mixed feelings about this part. Yes, it is peach-mango flavored, but it does feel artificial in that aspect. And, it is pretty sweet. I still drink it, but it doesn’t rank high on my “things I like drinking” list.
So, while I will subtract one star for the taste and the grittiness, I am still impressed by the combination. As a side note, it is made in the USA from globally sourced material, which sounds more-or-less the norm nowadays, in a GMP-certified facility. At roughly $2 per serving the price is on the steeper side, but I think it’s still a good offering.

I’ve been using both collagen powder and capsules because they work. I’ve observed a noticeable improvement in skin tone, being more full, vibrant and healthy looking with fewer wrinkles. My hair is thicker and stronger, which was really needed because I’m a regular lap swimmer and the pool chlorine was wreaking havoc on my hair. I can’t say whether my nails are stronger, but they look good and I’d say it’s possible that they have improved as well.
It takes a couple months of daily collagen supplements for most people to really affect a change, so be patient. I like to mix the powder in my work out bottle along with a fitness supplement and it mixes up fine. I think it tastes pretty good too.
This naturally and artificially flavored collagen powder, by HVL-WELL, is derived from fish, (wild cod) rather than bovine or chicken. Don’t worry, there is no fish flavor or scent. It includes some additional vitamins; C, D3, E and B3, a tiny bit of sodium and Hyaluronic Acid along with Bamboo Extract. All good stuff for healthy hair, skin, nails, bones, joints, digestion and your immune system. You got to love that!
Just one scoop per day provides a generous amount of collagen, a whopping 5000mg, which is great! Usually, you will see supplements like this in the 1500mg range, which is the minimum amount needed to affect a change for most people. Sometimes you will see a bit more, perhaps 2000mg, which is nice and oddly, sometimes less than 1500mg, which I recommend you avoid.
Collagen is a natural substance produced by our bodies, but as we age we produce less of it, that’s why a supplement is needed. It is safe to take higher doses, even much higher, but you should not take a strangers advice on the internet, instead ask your doctor. The label directions say you can take a 5000mg dose “once or more times daily”.
I’m really glad I found this and got to try a free sample. The quality is among the best I’ve had so far and as mentioned, this maker gives you a very generous dose compared to the competition. The flavor is really good too. I usually go for unflavored, but am very happy I went with Peach Mango. It ROCKS! It mixes easily in cold water without clumping.
The only negative is that the container is just 20 servings! Not cool! Every other collagen supplement I’ve had is almost always at least a 30 day supply, rarely less. That’s just weird and perhaps deceptive, since it doesn’t jibe with the accepted norm that people expect when they buy a new supplement. I did test out a 7 day supply of convenient “travel packs” of collagen, but that was obvious. This was not obvious.
Also, it is overpriced. I won’t be buying this at this price. It’s way too much, especially for just 20 servings. They make a terrific product and I like it a lot, but not for $40. Collagen supplements are helpful in so many ways, but you must take them daily to receive the benefits. That would make this product unsustainable for me at $2 per day and I’d shop for a cheaper alternative.
Nevertheless, all things considered, if you have deep pockets and can afford it, this is the way to go. More power to ya’! You’ll be happy with the results, but it will set you back quite a bit, especially over the long term.

This is the best flavored product I have ever had. It is simply delicious. I have never had a peach drink that is even close to how great this is. I would drink it daily just for that fact alone. The bonus is I see such a difference in my skin when I drink it. I can tell just after the first week. It is a wonderful product and I am so glad I stumbled onto it. It is a must have for me. I hope this brand makes this flavor forever. Delicious, perfect flavor plus results. It’s a win win!
