This is authentic good stuff, tastes tart as is should.
It is as pictured and sealed properly.
Only drawback is it very expensive and the price just keeps going up, so I don’t know if it is cost effective to purchase. But if you want to try it at least once, it is of good quality. It will last you if you only have a little spoon every once in a while and keep it in the refrigerator.
Bilberry is supposed to be helpful for the eyes/night vision…but I can’t say I noticed any improvements in night vision, but it could be because I don’t have it daily.
Its great over yogurt or on its own. Enjoy.

Best Bilberry powder on Amazon! Very happy with a quality of the product! Great flavor, great smell, perfect consistency! I add it to my everyday smoothies. Tried competition brands: Organic Wild Bilberry Powder by LOOV organic food and Biokia Wild Bilberry Powder. However opted out to this one -> NordicNordic Bilberry Powder and purchased my 3rd jar already, this lasts a month exactly with a consistent use. Due to packaging, Bilberry Powder doesn’t dry out like LOOV organic food brand and it’s equal quality with Biokia Bilberry Powder. However NordicNordic Bilberry Powder is The Best value for the money! I also pair it with NordicNordic Lingonberry Powder in my smoothies and very happy with both items! Highly recommend 🙂 P.S. I’m very picky towards smoothie ingredients, supplements, and food/drinks in general. Always treat your body like your temple!

The deep dark purple color of this product and the fact that it comes from Finland impresses me…It truly seems authentic and when researching this company and checking out their website, they make very few products so that tells me they have chosen very specific foods to feature…
The container is great…easily re-closable…How many times I’ve bought powdered fruit products in bags that blow all over the place, leak when you try to reseal the bag… The flavor is pleasant…but I really love what the research on bilberries say….what they can do for the body…This is a powerful antioxidant and given I have no place to pick wild bilberries, I chose this company because I feel it’s authentic without fillers,
binders and the berries are wild.
It can wind up getting expensive as a serving is a whole T….I’m using less in order to conserve it…but I noticed the powder didn’t dry out or clump up..Most fruit or berry powders will turn into a solid rock if you don’t use them up quickly OR they must contain a preservative or anti caking ingredient..Nothing but bilberry in this package…..I’ve read bilberries help night vision but I haven’t taken it long enough to notice that.
I did notice it seemed to help with my itchy eyes. I did read it works as an antihistamine…I certainly could
benefit from that.
So this is what bilberries can do for the body.
Research on bilberry’s pharmacological effects has focused primarily on the effects of its anthocyanosides on collagen and blood vessels. Extracts containing anthocyanosides have been shown to promote the biosynthesis of collagen and prevent its destruction. Additionally, they can decrease capillary permeability and fragility, prevent edema, and inhibit platelet aggregation. With strong antioxidant actions, they have the ability to protect LDL cholesterol from oxidative stress.
Bilberry anthocyanosides have demonstrated strong anti-inflammatory actions including preventing the release and synthesis of pro-inflammatory compounds such as histamine, prostaglandins, and leukotrienes. Compounds in bilberry extract have also been found to exert anti-carcinogenic activity and also increase gastric mucus production while bilberry leaf decoctions have been shown to lower blood glucose levels.
The primary clinical application for bilberry extracts has been in the prevention and treatment of opthamological disorders including glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, day blindness and night vision improvement. Since capillary dysfunction and inflammation also play a role in wound healing, diabetes mellitus and inflammatory joint diseases, bilberry is also used for these conditions.

This powder appears to be made from the berries not the leaves. It is a relatively remote finding, but the leaves consumed in excess for a longer duration may promote ill effects.
The berries not so. As I take it daily this is a consideration.
The cheaper Bilberry marketed; it is invariably the leaves not the berries derived.
Billberry exceeds blueberries in oxidative effect remediation, but seems to be quite specific to eye health.
Famously RAF fighter plane pilots were given Billberry jam to enhance visual acuity during world war two.

I’ve bought this before and the product itself is great!
However, I bought this recently from seller “Shop Healthy Inc” and received 2 cans that were disgustingly dirty and moreover had a label slapped over another label! The original label can be seen and reads “Chaga Tea”
This is something that we are supposed to eat! No way is this acceptable, god knows what this started out as and what they have put in there. Do not buy from the particular seller again – I have attached pics that show the problem.

I got this stuff because I have recently been told I have drusen around my retinas, my father had macular degeneration so this is particularly worrying. So off I went down the rabbit hole and found out that bilberries, along with Lutein from marigolds, are the best things to add to your diet in order to try to keep the dreaded MD away as long as possible. I can’t speak on the benefits yet, I have only been using it for two weeks. But, I like the taste so well I got another tub so I wouldn’t run out. I add a tablespoon to my breakfast smoothie of frozen organic fruit, banana, Stonyfield yogurt, cinnamon and half tablespoon of ground flax seeds. I hope it improves my vision because it tastes really good. I will repost on any eye improvement next year after my eye check up.
