The organic sunflower lecithin powder produced excellent results with my recipes. The powder dissolved almost instantly after mixing and I didn’t notice a flavor difference in my recipes as my other ingredients always seemed to be more flavorful. Overall, the powder works well for my recipes and is soy-free.

I like putting this in my smoothies or coffee and haven’t had any issues with it not dissolving. As others have said, it is very sticky, so living in a humid part of the county I always run into certain powders getting sort of tacky, but so far haven’t had an issue with this one. What I most appreciate is there isn’t a strong over powering flavor. It seems tasteless to me and I’m usually able to taste anything extra that I add to my coffee.

This sunflower lecithin powder dissolves easily, but it sticks to everything, including the scoop and my fingers.
I drink it with my iced coffee (with plenty of cream and sugar) and haven’t noticed it affecting the taste except for one time when I didn’t stir it enough—but I usually use a half scoop in a large cup of coffee. When you can taste it, it leaves a lot to be desired. I don’t notice it smelling as much as lecithin capsules, but it tastes the way the capsules smell.
I’m not going to punish this supplement for its nature (tasting like it’s supposed to and being messy), but I will probably switch back to capsules after this. It’s a good quality supplement aside from the inconvenience, though.

The thick liquid lecithin is sticky and messy. I like this powder better.

Organic and cold pressed soy lecithin powder – just a little goes a long way. Mine arrived looking and smelling fresh, the bag is well sealed with a far away expiration date. I like the taste of sunflower lecithin, so this tastes great in smoothies or stirred into morning coffee with coconut milk or whey. I like the slightly nutty flavour, although I’m used to it and my family eats sunflower butter and sun seeds. Feels good to my brain, and lends to a sustained energy throughout the morning. Healthy alternative to soy lecithin, can be added to plant based milks too.

I like this stuff a lot better than the liquid form. It’s way easier to work with, and seems to do the trick. It doesn’t seem to affect taste too much. My only issue with it is that, the tiniest bit of the powder getting in the zipper can make it difficult, if not impossible, to securely seal it. I had to put it into a second resealable bag to ensure it stays fresh and doesn’t get everywhere. The manufacturer would do well to switch to the more velcro-like kind of zipper seal like you find in some brands of Epsom salt or Bob’s red mill tapioca starch (the best examples I can think of). Other than that, I’m happy with this brand of sunflower lecithin, which I use to make smooth drinks with added coconut milk powder.

This brand of sunflower lecithin seems comparable to the other brands I’ve tried, with no difference in texture or taste. I’ve liked Deal Supplements’ offerings for years and wasn’t aware they also make food additives, so that’s nice to know for whenever I need an economical option. I like using lecithin to thicken soups, smoothies etc. The powder form is a little more fiddly than capsule forms, but when you need a thickener it helps.
