My nails don’t grow unless I’m taking a collagen supplement. That could be due to the fact that I have hypothyroidism (low functioning thyroid), but I don’t know and either way, it creeps me out. When I do take a collagen supplement, my nails grow incredibly fast, and my hair grows considerably faster as well. Another benefit of a good collagen supplement is that it’s beneficial to your joints. I’m quickly approaching my mid-forties, and I’m no stranger to aches and pains in my joints, but I’ve found that when I take a collagen supplement on a regular basis, those aches and pains are consdierably less, and what’s even better, most days I don’t even think about joint pain because it becomes non-existent (I also have stage 4 endometriosis, and I suspect that is oftentimes the culprit of my joint pain when it does arise, usually during a flare). That being said, I was thrilled to learn about this brand and the story about the women who founded this company. I feel like she gets me, and for that reason, I feel like this is a supplement that was made for people like me. I’m very picky about supplements because I don’t like the idea of purchasing anything that could potentially do more harm than good, and that’s why I love NAOMI is a company that puts thoughtful research into the ingredients of their supplements. This collagen powder doesn’t really have a taste, so I can easily mix some in with a smoothie, or I can just mix some with a little water and take it that way (which is typically how I take it). It’s easy to take and I can always see the results – it’s in my hair and nails! I love this collagen, I can’t wait to try more NAOMI products!

I’ve been using collagen for a while but this is the first time I’ve tried Verisol collagen peptides. From online research I learned that Verisol collagen peptides have undergone a patented process which breaks down the collagen down making it more digestible. I was impressed with the research I found online supporting better results when using this type of collagen. Research results showed improved skin and nails, a reduction in wrinkles and cellulite. This also contains Prolastin elastin peptides. Elastin is supposed to allow tissues to stretch and shrink back. I am hoping I can get the skin that hangs on my arms to get firmer again.
The first thing you notice when you receive your collagen is how much smaller it is compared to other brands. This is because a daily dose is a small scoop (not much more than a teaspoon). The other thing I noticed was even though the container is small it is still half full. I guess if it were filled to the top it might be easy to spill.
I am taking this by adding it to my yogurt. I don’t even know it’s there. I like that this product has no sugar or artificial sweeteners. I also like that it contains hyalouronic acid which also helps keep skin young and moisturized. The only negative I find is the lack of a GMP label or third party testing. However, I liked the company’s website and what I learned about Verisol and Prolastin peptides. I would get this product again so I definitely recommend it. I suggest anyone getting it look up this product on their website.

This collagen supplement has more ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C than the other collagen supplements I’ve tried. Yet it still only has a mild flavor. Some collagen supplements have a strong enough flavor I worry about it ruining my coffee so I just put it in water. This one I plan on trying that way in the near future. It mixed in very well. I’ve found that stirring while sprinkling the powder in works best. As you can see it mostly dissolved in just doing it this way and eventually even those little pieces went away with a bit more stirring. Overall it seems pretty good. Only time will tell if this is as effective as bovine collagen for me. I’m not sure I’ll get more because of the price. I’ll wait to decide until I’ve finished this container.

This is sourced from fish just fyi. I’ve used the whole tub and haven’t noticed a difference. All things are dependent on a persons ability to absorb what they are consuming though, and my guts are not the healthiest so… might be a factor for me. It smells kind of not so great if you take a whiff of it. There is no taste though so it works great in anything. I add it to protein shakes every day. The powder is wonderfully fine, it dissolves very well. I feel it’s a bit on the expensive side. I won’t keep trying it. I will say that it does not upset my stomach, so that’s always a plus when trying a new supplement.

I mixed it in 6oz of room temperature water by shaking it up in a plastic bottle with no wire ball, and it dissolved easily and without any clumps. It adds a very mild flavor to the water, but it doesn’t taste like anything in particular aside from ‘not water’.
Most collagen seems to use around 10g as the serving size (9g of protein); this one is 2.5g instead (2g of protein). It’s a 1-month supply, if you follow the smaller serving size; if you use what seems to be the standard serving size, it’s more like a 1-week supply.
The container came fully sealed in plastic, and it had a tamper seal on the inside too.
The one I got in August 2023 has an expiration/best by date of June 2025.

Been taking these for a few weeks now and while I haven’t noticed a drastic improvement to my skin, I can at the very least say I haven’t had any type of negative side effects and in terms of flavoring I would say this does a great job of mixing well with my oatmeal and not ruining the flavor. I guess really all I can say is that I wish the price was a bit lower for what is supposed to be only a month supply.
