I had to take a moment after opening the bottle for the first time – to me it smelled exactly like a rich and aromatic dark cocoa powder – I was amazed!! I have no idea how this is, as the ingredients really are just mushrooms, but I was beyond excited to taste it after the first smell. The bottle was bigger than I expected. The powder itself is a very dark, rich brown and finely ground – it even comes with a little measuring scoop which was helpful as I was tempted to use more than necessary based on how good it smells. It mixes easily into my coffee with no lumps or grit and while it doesn’t make my coffee taste chocolatey, it does give it a fuller and more well rounded flavor without any hint of mushroom at all. I am so pleased with this powder and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easy and enjoyable mushroom supplement!
