Para desintoxicação interna, recomenda-se misturar uma colher de sopa de pó de argila bentonita com um copo de água filtrada ou suco de maçã. I’m a heavy smoker and sooo want to quit. I’ll start there.
I was using Claybrite toothpaste, which contains this type of clay and made the observation that my teeth were noticeably whiter and that brand of toothpaste was quite soothing to my gums, providing that ‘dentist clean’ feeling. It is quite pricey though, so I alternated it with Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil and Neem Toothpaste, which I also like.
Claybrite recently changed the formula dramatically though, adding chemicals, removing and/or sliding the concentration of natural ingredients further down on the list. My gums no longer felt soothed. I could no longer brush my tongue without gagging. The whitening benefit was no longer as pronounced. So I decided to buy a pouch of this clay, the same type used in their formula.
I put the clay in a wide (but small) glass jar with a tiny scooper. I believe it was an apple butter jar, and the scoop I’m using holds probably about 1/4 teaspoon.
I found the best way to use this was to take a scoop of it and drop a scoop into my mouth without touching the scooper to my mouth. Otherwise, if placed directly on top of my toothbrush with the Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil and Neem toothpaste, most of the clay would just fall off of the brush and into the sink. It made no difference whether I just placed the clay on my wet toothbrush or the clay on top of the wet toothpaste on my brush. It is a real pain because the clay drop-off doesn’t rinse off the sink with just a few splashes of water. So use this scoop-to-mouth method if you decide to try this. Less waste. No mess.
Sometimes I will brush with the clay alone and then follow with a second brushing with the Desert Essence Toothpaste (the Tea Tree Oil and Neem is the ONLY kind I like of that brand). Other times I will drop a scoop of the clay into my mouth and brush with the toothpaste at the same time.
White teeth. That’s all I can say.
Steer clear of the Claybrite. It’s expensive, the formula has changed, and it is not nearly as effective at whitening. And if you choose to go with the Desert Essence Toothpaste, purchase the Tea Tree Oil and Neem. The other ‘flavors’ do not work as well at cleaning teeth. But if you use the two together (this clay along with the Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil & Neem Toothpaste), whiter teeth guaranteed. Even neighbors have asked how I can have such white teeth with how heavy I smoke. I’m guessing the clay absorbs the stains and bacteria. Too bad Claybrite changed their formula. Then again, this is much cheaper in the long run.

I don’t know what other people are buying this for. No clue. But I use a tiny amount in my hair. I dust just a very small amount into dry, clean hair to give it some body and styling hold. It’s hard to do this out of the bag, so I use a confectioners sugar shaker. Just the tiniest dusting, and then I briefly work it into my hair with my hands. Works great and adds lots of body. The clay powder is extremely fine and it clings to my hair and scalp, probably because of any tiny amount of moisture or oil on my hair. An added bonus is that it tends to dry my skin a bit, which is helpful because my skin has become oilier as I’ve gotten older. I don’t know if that’s normal but the clay definitely helps and even improves my complexion. Just to be clear, I’m not deliberately putting any on my face. Maybe a little gets on my skin, or maybe having it in my hair keeps the oil from my hair from migrating onto my face during the day. I don’t know. In any case, it seems to be a good product for my use.

Dear KC – I am using the bentonite clay from your company as part of an MMS cleanse of mold and fungus from my body to assist in eliminating Lyme’s disease. I was really pleased with delivery and follow-up from your company and I am not experiencing any problems ingesting the clay, in fact I find it strangely tasty. Of course, using Calcium Bentonite clay alone would not be sufficient enough when successfully doing a daily detoxing regimen. Other very important additions to a daily regimen must include a diet high in fiber derived from – preferably if available – raw and organic fruits and vegetables plus organic WHOLE grains. If the body is unable to digest these raw foods successfully, the next – optimum choice – is JUICING of fresh and organic RAW fruits and vegetables. Ultimately, a minimum of 16 ounces per day of FRESH, HOMEMADE organic juices, plus required amounts of clean filtered water (not tap or bottled water) is an important integral part of a successful detoxification regimen.
After an in-depth search, I was very ecstatic to find THIS particular brand of Calcium Bentonite Clay due to the way THIS company handles this natural product. Take a moment to do some additional research to learn about HOW clay is often mined by most companies. It is customarily taken from the surface where high levels of contaminants and environmental toxins are most present as opposed to far below surface where the clay is more protected. It is an eye-opening and valuable education.
Whether your focus is to get healthy or maintain optimum health, you want THIS type of clay…no matter which company sells it!!! However, many companies do not retrieve the natural clay in this way….which is primarily why I chose this brand after inquiring about these priorities, as well as researching this company’s website.
Happy indeed to find them….but if they ever change their practices, I’ll be shopping elsewhere. 🙂
