First of all, I think the most important aspect of a supplement like this is the flavor. There is a very noticeable citric acid and artificial sweetener taste as well as a lasting aftertaste. With that said, there are ways to dilute this unpleasant flavor. I do not recommend dry scooping or taking this as concentrated shots, as the flavor will get to you. The mango flavor is a little off but not too offensive. The nutrition and supplemental value of this product, however, is phenomenal.

This product is way too sweet and not even in a good way. It’s like sweet and sour at the same time where you want to vomit. And way too much stevia. Is that even healthy? I love that it’s vegan and the ratio of amino acid seems to be pretty good but the taste is sickening and makes me nauseated. Why not just leave out all the sickening flavors and just make it plain? And they don’t offer a refund. Waste of money.

The dragon fruit flavor is pretty good, though I’m sensitive to tastes and I can taste an artificial sugar type taste. However, we mix it with water or lemonade to help with the taste. Other than that, it’s great to have. We don’t use it for working out, but my husband uses it as a recovery after a long day working in the summer heat at his very physical job. It dissolves easily with no grittiness left over, the ingredients are clean, and it seems to be a very high quality product.

I did not order this for any pre-workout routine …or for any endurance exercising at all. I simply wanted a healthy beverage that I can drink as a non-athlete to replenish/fortify the amino acid(s) that are sapped out of the typical, non-whole foods fare that the average on-the-go person routinely misses out on. With that said, I feel no “jitters” from this Sunwarrior Amino beverage, despite the fact that I’m not working out for 3 hours afterwards.

This Sunwarrior Mango flavored amino acids mix tastes quite good, especially considering that it does not contain any sugar. Its good by itself or mixed with other drinks and we especially like that they opted for healthy ingredients and skipped erythritol as well. There is a good amount of potassium and especially during the hotter days, the hydrating effect is apparent. It comes at a premium, but it is most definitely worth saving for/worth the purchase, especially for those who do physically demanding activities.
