My use is for plants first off, however, I did taste it as humans should consume Aloe, however, this should NOT be ingested, this is neem, it’s labeled that way on the back of the package above the directions for use, states use this 100% neem, so I’m going to be looking for my money back for the correct product, looks like I will probably have to spend the 30 dollars on plant grade aloe vera.

Whether you want to use this as a supplement or as a skin cream or additive hair/body additive with your other products, this is a fairly good product. I’m not a fan of the taste or the smell, but I wasn’t expecting it to be, either. I personally don’t like this as a supplement, but I’m feeling good about the effects it’s having on my hair and body. I’ve been making some of my own skin and hair care products, and this is working great so far. And as I decided to add it to those products to see how it would do, I’ve immediately noticed an improvement in my products results. My hair seems softer, with more volume and my curls appear to be more defined than usual. As for my skin, it feels softer and seems to hold in my skins moisture better. While my opinion is based off of, only a handful of uses so far. Long term use will be the real test. But based on my current experience, this seems like a great product and the price is very reasonable.

This powder has multiple quality markers. It can be used for hair or skin treatments and can be added to food or drink for it’s nutritional value. I like this in orange juice or a smoothie. On it’s own it really doesn’t taste like anything. This comes in a resealable package and is easily stored.

I love using aloe vera for my skin to soothe any irritation or sun burns. I just feel that this powder form is a better value and lasts a long time. All I need to do is scoop a small amount out of the bag, add a little warm water, mix and apply to my skin. Love that it’s certified organic too – free from pesticides and chemicals.

I’ve been using an aloe supplement in liquid form for many years. I was happy to find this powder here on Amazon. I’ve been adding it to my green smoothie for the last week or so. I don’t notice it contributing to the flavor of my drink very much at all. I can’t say anything about it’s taste when used on its own but typically in my experience these green powders don’t taste all that good on their own, you have to mix with other ingredients like, apples, ginger, banana etc.. this way you mask any flavors they may contribute.

Aloe Vera is a herb that has a dual purpose use: it’s both edible and is an excellent skin care tonic. This particular formulation is organic and has been cultivated in India with accompanying US organic certifications. So, its purity is not in doubt.
But first, let me rule out the edible use of this product. Typically, Aloe Vera is used in its pulp form if you want to eat it or mix in a drink. In fact, many stores selling eastern foods do carry Aloe Vera drink made in India or Vietnam. They all use the Aloe Vera pulp in the drink. This being in a highly powdered form you may find it difficult to add to anything edible. If you’ve never tried aloe Vera in its edible form you may find that it is relatively tasteless and is muddy in color(see picture).
Now, let’s come to the use of Aloe Vera as skin softener. This is the most common use of A loe Vera and you will see it used in many formulations which require the skin to be smooth for example in a shaving cream (for instance, the Edge Shaving form with Aloe). This specific product comes in a half pound bag and double packed inside a silver foil pouch. The finely powdered Aloe Vera has to be carefully opened as it is very fine and can even envelope you when opening. You can easily see how good this product is by making a small paste with water. The ‘slimyness’ of the paste will tell you the softening effect it has on your skin.
Now, you may want to experiment with this aloe Vera powder in your own skin care formulation and I would suggest trying something as simple as adding it to your shaving cream or perhaps mixing it with turmeric and yogurt powder as a face mask. There are many recipes available on the Internet. Having used Aloe Vera before I found this particular product to be of high quality as far as the Aloe content and with the added certifications it has given me a lot more confidence about the purity of the product as well. Based on my own experience of having used aloe before and this particular version, I am happy to give it four stars.
I do caution you that the despite the double backing some of the product may spill so be extremely careful when opening the product and that is my only annoyance but otherwise this is an excellent form of Aloe Vera that you may want to experiment with.
