While checking my ‘Subscribe & Save’ subscription for this product:
“Zeaxanthin 7mg per geltab / Qty 120” – I noticed that the Name, Formulation and Strength completely changed. Now a completely different product has been subsitited without notice or permission. The new product – you are totally unable to determine how much actual Zeaxanthin and how much Lutein is in each gelcap. And now whatever is in this new formulation – you now have to take TWO gelcaps. I NO longer recommend – the manufacturer purposely hides the contents of this new Formulation. Subscription canceled. Evaluating my other Piping Rock subscriptions as well – as they also failed to answer my emails regarding this change.

The contents of the bottle are protected from contamination. There is plastic seal protection to prevent unintentional cap opening. There is also a foil safety seal at the mouth of the bottle you will see once you unscrew the cap. The product also has a long shelf life and expiration date. I am writing this review today, July 19, 2023, and the expiry date on the bottle is January 2026.
The bottle contains 120 soft gels which is a 120-day worth supply of Zeaxanthin. As per the label, the daily usage provides:
Zeaxanthin 7 mg (NEI recommendation is 2 mg)
If you want to mimic the exact National Eye Institute (NEI) formula for eye support to prevent macular degeneration then you need to add Lutein, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc, and Copper.
Sadly, the manufacturer uses gelatin instead of vegetable for the softgel. So this supplement is not for Vegan.
Daily consumption of this will cost you 8 cents. Take note that this contains Yellow Beeswax so do not take it if you are allergic to beeswax. Due to the presence of beeswax, this should also be avoided if you are pregnant or nursing.
Rapid Moon –
Contains Iron Oxide; they need to change this formulation. IO is harmful for the eyes. No good. Product otherwise meets specs for 7 mg dose and ingredients.

Very good for human vision. Daily dose 21mg. Highly recommend.
