As someone who is always on the lookout for natural ways to boost my energy and improve my overall health, I was excited to give this supplement a try. YMMV with Tongkat Ali, your best bet is to get a blood panel done with your doctor to see if this stuff works for you.
One of the things that immediately stood out to me about this product was the high dosage of Tongkat Ali per capsule – at 1200 mg, it’s one of the most potent supplements of its kind that I’ve come across. And with 120 capsules in each bottle, it’s a great value for the price.
I also appreciated that it’s non-GMO and gluten-free, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions. it may not work for everyone so don’t expect it to be a magic pill.
Overall, though, I would definitely recommend giving Piping Rock Tongkat Ali a try if you’re looking for a natural way to boost your energy levels and improve your overall health and just want to give it a try. Just be prepared for the large capsules and keep in mind that it may not work for everyone.

I’ve found that Tongkat Ali helps my husband. It gives him more interest and motivation to do the things he loves. The supplement he previously used is no longer in stock, so we are trying this one out. The listing title is somewhat misleading, as a “serving” of this supplement is two pills. So, each pill is 600mg, not 1200mg. However, 500-600mg is actually the recommended dose if you research this supplement elsewhere. It does feel a bit cheaty that they say there are 120 capsules and each “serving” is 1200mg, and then the capsules are actually 600mg.
The capsules are large. Probably about an inch long. Not overly wide. My husband said they aren’t difficult to swallow, and he hasn’t had any stomach issues from taking them. The inside of the bottle has a faint smell that kind of makes me think of school glue-paste, but the individual pills don’t have a smell or taste. 2-4 months worth of pills for around $20 (as of 4/2023) seems reasonable if this is something that works for you.

The strength of this per pill is stated as 600 mg of 200:1 extract equivalent to 120,000 mg of fresh root, and they recommend taking 2 capsules a day (1200 mg of extract or 240,000 mg equivalent root). To put that into context, the dosage used in most research is 200 to 400mg of 100:1 extract, equivalent to 20,000 to 40,000 mg of root. Animal studies have indicated liver damage at higher doses. One capsule of this product is 6x the standard dosage; the brand’s recommended dosage of 2 capsule is 12x the standard dosage. Use at your own risk.

Tongkat Ali works for me. A little dosage would already do the trick. It increases my level of energy and the feeling of well-being, which is probably due to Tongkat Ali’s components that help the body to use energy more efficiently. I take 600mg to 1200mg of PipingRock’s Tongkat Ali (one to two capsules) for two months and then pause for two to four weeks. Too much Tongkat Ali may be hard on the liver, the reason why I pause for two to four weeks.
I use PipingRock’s products for over a decade and can attest to their good quality. However, I believe that it would still be good and fitting to suggest that PipingRock have its product tested by an accredited third-party lab for content and efficacy, as a way to build credibility. Those lab test reports should then be made available on company’s website.
