This was perfect for the summer. It had an authentic grape flavor. It was a little on the sweet side. My husband drank it at work. I also had my toddler drinking it when he played outside alot. I love that it was the 2x formula. You could really feel the difference in hydration after drinking this. I also like that adults can drink it too.

I ended up suffering severe symptoms from losing to many needed minerals and becoming dehydrated. This created some problems, so I needed to get something that would replenish both the water and the minerals that were low. I had been taking this name brands version and some similar types of hydration drink. In the current heat snap it’s a lifeline for keeping a healthy fluid balance. Price is reasonable and about what I expected. I like the taste of the grape and find it not too sweet as some others. The calories per serving or even per bottle are unlikely to affect any normal weight loss diet.
I like the foil cutter they integrate into the cap of Pedialyte. It is not found on some other similar brands and when pulling off the seal I end up spilling the liquid. The mouth of the bottle is wide enough to either pour or drink directly from the bottle. The contents do have a higher concentration of minerals over most sports drinks, so it protects better in the heat to retain fluids and helps minimize the dangers of dehydration. Recommended.

We always keep a bottle of pedialyte in our fridge in case our toddlers seem dehydrated from playing outside too long, fever, or have constipation. We mix this with some water so it’s not too sweet and give about 2 oz to our 13m babies. Not recommended too often because it’s sweet but for those days when water wont do this is great.
My husband used to drink this too back in the good ol’ days of nights out/hangovers.

These electrolyte drinks are really good. I got grape and you could taste the grape flavor in it but it wasn’t that overpowering which I liked. It helped me stay hydrated and tasted good while doing it.

For anyone who works out often or who has kids in their family, it is always good to have this on hand. The grape flavor tastes good and my kids had no issues drinking it. The bottles are pretty big so we should be set for a while. Whenever my kids catch something at school this helps with them recovering quicker and preventing dehydration and I have used it after exercising. This is definitely something I will keep stocked in my home.

Definitely want to keep your Pedialyte chilled. Like other electrolyte drinks, the colder they are, the easier they are to drink and the salty tang is somewhat calmed down.
I’m not going to say this grape flavor is wonderful, but it’s not terrible. It tastes pretty much like other grape flavored drinks or candies. What I really like about it is that it has multiple uses. Along with helping to quickly rehydrate me after working outside when I’ve sweated off half my body weight, it is great for averting a hangover. Yep. Other electrolyte drinks do not work as well as Pedialyte. If you can manage to gulp several mouthfuls of this along with some water before bed, you pretty much wake up feeling like a regular human in the morning.

Hydration is important especially if I go out and drink the night before. This drink is not only hydrating but the taste isn’t too bad. This is especially great if you drink it before you go to bed after drinking.
Quality:
The grape taste in this taste better than other grape water drinks I had. This taste more artificial and not overly sweet which I like. I can drink quite a bit of this before getting tired of it. What I like about this is the fact that I can just drink this like regular water before going to bed after drinking.
Overall, very nice and helps prevent hangovers after chugging some before bed.

Pedialyte is a better rehydration solution for true dehydration caused by illness or vomiting. Traditional sports drinks are not designed to rehydrate the sick. They are made to fuel endurance athletes hence they have lots of sugar that someone running a marathon or cycling a century will need. A sick child or adult will do better with a product like Pedialyte. I do wish they would do without the sucralose and dyes. More and more children are having sensitivities to dyes and we are quickly learning that artificial sweeteners are not the best things for our bodies. On the reserve side, if the drink is not palatable, a child will not drink it. At that point it becomes worthless. The value is pretty terrible to be honest but it is inline with similar products so I can’t get too upset about that. Overall it’s a 4 star from me.
