My skin has the fresh, even translucent look that i had as a kid. Very gentle but effective. So gentle i made the mistake of using it after a chemical peel. Bad Idea. But i love it and will keep buying.

I was expecting this to be like the liquid Paula’s choice BHA toner exfoliant but a bit stronger and specifically for mature skin and sun damage. However, it was more of a cream/ointment and not a liquid and it didn’t seem to exfoliate my skin at all. It may have helped my dark spot fade a bit? But i was unhappy with the blackheads and breakouts it caused all over. The formula seemed to have clogged my pores. I will be going back to the BHA exfoliant. I missed the return window unfortunately so I’m out $35.

Background:
I have dry rosacea sensitive skin. AHA is cautioned for people like me. In the past I used Pixi’s Glow tonic, and I think the witch hazel broke me out. I then tried Farmacy’s Glow Recipe (more similar to this product in that it is an AHA/BHA blend) and later learned of the fragrance used and that the BHA was not salicylic acid. I found this product, and was happy to learn that it had .5% salicylic acid as well as the glycolic acid for AHA. I went slow to not freak my skin out, and to not overly exfoliate my skin.
Results:
I am happy to report back that this is wonderful at exfoliating, calming and not irritating my rosacea, didn’t break me out, and works as a good humectant to moisturizer the skin with a moisturizer on top. Just don’t exfoliate too much or you will break out and blame the product.

First, I’m 46 with dry skin that has some pigmentation issues from the sun. Getting a smoother surface to my skin was my goal. This stuff is my holy grail! I saw results after 2 days. My dry, sometimes patchy skin was noticably smoother, more even. It looked and felt soft, younger. My makeup went on like a dream! It does everything it promises without peeling, pain, sensitivity or dry pitting. My serums and moisturizer do a better job, too. My skin glows. I will absolutely purchase it again. I’ve since added the Paula’s Choice retinol cream and it’s just as gentle.
