If, like me, in the past you’ve been suckered into buying dishwasher pods with names like “Quantum Extreme Ultraclean TURBO” and three or four different coloured sections, I’m here to assure you that’s all marketing nonsense.
Not only do the seventh generation pods clean just as well (if not better) than any of those, the fact they’re unscented means that dishes, especially plastic or silicone dishes, come out with no residue or unpleasant chemical smells.
I was using the “top-tier” cascade tabs and I found especially silicone spatulas had a strong chemical smell and taste on them that I had to scrub out with soap and water. No such smell after using these pods, and it gets them just as clean. I’ve been using them for over a month, daily, and have had zero cases of food remaining on dishes after a cycle.
Note: i use a Bosch dishwasher that I am very diligent about cleaning regularly, use rinse aid, and follow the manufacturers instructions for loading dishes, so if you don’t do these you may have a different experience – as for me, I’ll probably use these pods as long as I have a dishwasher to put them in. My only complaint is I haven’t yet been able to buy them in bulk.

We have used finish tabs for a while now. We started to only be able to find the finish pouches. They have just too much perfume. We could taste it in the food we ate off the clean dishes. I took a chance and ordered these cleaning pouches. I was hoping for dishes that didn’t smell. Well I was so surprised that not only do they not smell but the dishes are sparkling clean. (Our house has hard water.)

They’re a little big for my tiny countertop machine, but they definitely clean well. I like that they don’t have added fragrance – who wants smelly dishes, anyway? Fragrance-free pods are hard to find so I’m glad these work well.

I use plastic Blender Bottles and they absorb fragrance from dishwashing detergent. This product has solve the problem, and seems to be getting the fragrance out of the containers. I have a fragrance Free house

We’ve had difficulty finding a brand that didn’t have a strong scent, and more importantly, that didn’t leave a soap residue coating. Even using a rinse aid didn’t seem to help (our dishwasher is brand new). Fill a glass with water and we had soap bubbles at the top. Then we tried Seventh Generation dishwasher packs and now we have sparkling clean dishes every time, with no strong scent, no residue and no soap bubbles. Awesome!

I switched to these pods because I wanted the least toxic form of dishwasher detergent that I could find. I always look everything up on the ewg website and these rate an A. The pods completely dissolve in the dishwasher and the dishes come out clean. This isn’t a complaint, but they will really stick together like glue if you use even a little bit of a wet hand to get one out of the package, so definitely get one out with a dry hand before you start loading dishes! They can be pulled back apart but it’s hard to do! I guess that shows how well they will dissolve!! Anyway, they do a great job, and I am very satisfied with this product!
