I’m sensitive dry skin. I always had a hard time finding a gentle sunscreen with a high SPF that was not irritating. But now I have found it.

I am a Korean sunscreen junky. I have used many many different types of Korean sunscreens. My favorite holy grail sunscreen prior to trying this P. Calm was Beauty of Joseon which I used for years. I was obsessed with BoJ and thought nothing could come close to that one but after going out on a limb for P.Calm I feel this sunscreen is better overall. My skin type is oily with dry patches and I use tretinoin every day. The P.Calm sunscreen is moisturizing but not greasy. The BoJ is thicker and dewier but weirdly more drying than this sunscreen. I also love that this stuff works great under makeup, better than any other sunscreen I have tried. I love the extra nourishing ingredients in it too. I find myself reaching for P. Calm more than any other sunscreen I own, even more expensive ones just because it sits so well on my skin. It doesn’t exaggerate my dry patches but kind of calms them down– hence the name. My skin can get pretty irritated from the tretinoin and this stuff just relieves that some, so my skin isn’t tight feeling or parched. I love this sunscreen. The only thing I would say is this sunscreen has a shelf life, and shouldn’t be kept in a hot car of course.

Love that this formula doesn’t contain hyaluronic acid (which badly irritates my skin and is in EVERYTHING) and it is so moisturizing! Love putting this on in the morning after my AM routine, it makes my face look glowy and hydrated but not greasy. I have combination skin so it’s hard to find products that are just right with the varying oily/dry areas on my face, this one is just perfect. Very comfortable.

I love Korean sunscreens. This one is very good and works well on my dry, sensitive skin.
I took off one star because there is a very light smell, like stinky, sweaty feet. It smells VERY similar to the Biossance Squalene Omega repair cream. The smell dissipates quickly so it doesn’t bother me too much, and I’m very sensitive to smells. Would still recommend.

My previous favorite sunscreen was the beauty of Joseon relief sun, but I think I can confidently say that this has taken its place. This sunscreen checks all the boxes: light, spreadable, non-greasy, hydrating, moisturizing, high spf and good UVA protection, no weird residue or cast. Even in such a dry place, this sunscreen never leaves my skin feeling tight and dehydrated. It also doesn’t break me out.

Asian sunscreens are becoming harder to find on Amazon 🙁 so I’ve been hunting for a replacement and landed on this formula due to its formula looking similar to my moisturizers.
I have dry combo skin that flares up somewhat easily, my eyes also burn w all American uv filters. This formula is a medium weight water based cream that does a good job sinking into the skin.
I really love how I don’t feel this formula sitting on my skin yet it doesn’t dry me out or burn my eyes. I’m hoping I can purchase this for a while 🙂
