Psyllium Husk is the base ingredient in Metamucil and has the same result as the actual product. This is basically Metamucil without all the additives and at a fraction of the price.

i absolutely love the fiber, it works great and lasts way longer than metamucil, alongside no additives like maltodextrin which is what i want more than anything. HOWEVER, the packaging is absolute garbage. the bag it comes in is a waste of size for the actual amount of product is contains. the “ziplock” doesn’t ever fail to come unglued after about the 5th time of opening it, thus not being able to reseal it. it’s bad for the enviornment, as is everything, but still. i really need the company to rectify this or i may have to find an alternative.

This stuff is straight up plain. Almost no taste but it doesn’t mix well at all!!!!! I tried cold water, hot water and in a protein shake. It turns to gel and sticks to everything. So I now have a fix for this…… 1. Put scoop of psyllium husk powder into mouth 2. Chug bottle of water……. Works great! No mixing problems!!!!!

Suck it up and just read: I was having some problems passing bowel movements, and hoped this stuff would help. It did, quite a bit. Now, the trick is that it works by absorbing water, so I have to drink a couple of bottles full on top of my other daily fluid intake. But, when I do, things work out much more easily for me.
I take about 4 grams (one dose from the little scoop it comes with) each morning in four ounces of water. I would describe it as similar to what you might experience if you ground up three or four Cheerios into dust and made a drink out of that. Yeah, it’s a little gritty and tastes vaguely like cardboard. But it’s worth it for the benefits.
Best to put it into something you can shake up first, as the powder tends to clump.
If you’re having problems passing solid waste, give this stuff a try.

This mixes easier, tastes better, and works better than Metamucil. Why does Metamucil add all that extra junk? No additives, no sweeteners. Just pure natural goodness.

Just make sure to start with small amounts to make sure your gut gets acclimated. After that, it is a great item to get that metabolism going. It’s a bit grainy but easy to drink with a milkshake or or yogurts.

I’m only on day 4 of drinking this, and it worked immediately! So far I am much more regular, and comfortable than prior to drinking it.
Mixing it in cold water helped it dissolve better and be less clumpy.
I would also add that it tastes like dirt, but what did we expect? It’s not labeled “fruit punch” or anything. I haven’t experimented with any other liquid than water… maybe chocolate milk?
I’ve seen a lot of reviews and questions about weight loss with this product. I can’t say that’s happened yet, but that wasn’t my goal as well.
Better gut health and being more comfortable was. Mission accomplished so far.
