    I appreciate that the “CASTOR OIL | Premium Cold Pressed Unrefined | 100% Pure Natural Castor Oil Promotes Healthy Skin & Hair | Thickens Eyebrows & Lengthens Eyelashes | Strengthens Nails Cuticles | Massage Oil | 8 OZ” came well sealed and with a extra protection around the top to help prevent leaks. The 100% pure and organic oil is something I am unable to purchase locally. I especially like using it on my skin, nails & cuticles. During the winter months my heals need extra TLC. The 8oz bottle should last a good long time. Most of the Castor oils I’ve used come in a dark bottle with a dropper top but they are much smaller bottles. This one comes in a clear plastic bottle with a screw on cap which is obvious in the listing. I wanted to get a bottle with a larger amount and this definitely delivers. This cosmetic grade oil comes from a company that sells a lot of products for soap making.

    I use this as a soap oil in my homemade cold process soap. It is great for adding conditioning properties to soap so it doesn’t dry my skin. I cannot attest to its moisturizing or other qualities advertised for skin, eyelashes or cuticles as I do not use it for those things. For soap, it is great, but too pricey to use in quantity.

    This review is for 33rd Parallel CASTOR OIL | Premium Cold Pressed Unrefined in the 8oz. bottle.
    There’s really no way for me to tell whether it’s actually organic as stated, however I’ll say this. The bottle arrived with a gripper sticker around the top so it wouldn’t leak. The label design is very nice and attractive! It looks and smells like castor oil, I really appreciate the convenience of the 8oz. size because I use a lot in compresses.
    Unfortunately, it gets 1 star because there was no safety seal under the cap so no way to detect whether it has been tampered with. I personally don’t use this internally but it does get absorbed through the skin and for something a lot of people DO take internally or use near their eyes on their lashes there’s just no excuse for it. I don’t feel comfortable using this on my body at all for this reason.

    33RD PARALLEL SOAP CO. castor oil is really thick, which I prefer for my hair texture. My 4A/4B textured hair responds better to the thicker varieties of castor oils, and this one is thicker than most. More of the nutrients have been preserved in this oil because it is cold pressed. It is also free of chemicals. Because this castor oil is not refined, it has more of a smell that is typical for unrefined castor oil.

    I use castor oil in my hair, on my face, on my skin, in my hair care products, in my lotions and on my cuticle to soften them. Castor oil moisturizes my hair, face and skin like no other oil. I also like to add castor oil into my shampoos to make them more moisturizing for my hair type, and as an added ingredient in my conditioners to help combat dryness.

    This is an excellent quality castor oil. $11 for 8 ounces would be pricey for a regular castor oil, but it is reasonable for a cold pressed organic castor oil, particularly one of this caliber.

    I got this castor oil to use on my skin, eyelashes, and eyebrows. I heard all of the amazing things so I knew I needed to try castor oil. It is a little sticky but it isn’t too bad if you put it on right before bed. Definitely don’t use it during the day when you are going out.
    The only negative is that apparently, I am allergic to castor oil, or at least my eyes are. After I used this, the next day my eyes were unbearably itchy, it was maddening. So I won’t be using this near my eyes again, but as long as I stay away from my eyes I can use it.

    Got this oil to use in my hair and it works perfectly. The bottle makes it easy to use and the oil is perfectly clear. No odor at all. Definitely worth the money.
