Taste is slightly fake-y on the vanilla, but that’s normal for protein powder. This is my first vegan protein powder and overall, I like it, but I wish the flavor was tweaked a little bit. I’m thinking making the fake-vanilla taste a little less overpowering would do the trick. That said, it blended up well into a smoothie and is very filling! I liked the health benefits of the greens blend and will be happy to use this until it runs out. ONE NOTE: The scoop IS included, but may be hard to find. Mine was buried nearly at the bottom of the container and I had to dig it out using a large serving spoon. I think Orgain should consider building a lid that the scoop can snap onto, to make that easier.
Was curious and a little bit skeptical of how this one would taste but decided to try it because it was on sale and I still enjoy this company’s regular vanilla and chocolate protein shake powders. You can taste a hint of “green” but it’s not off-putting once you mix your favourite berries and frozen fruits to make your usual smoothie. Feel healthier drinking this one and would order again!
I’ve tried a lot of different protein shakes. If they’re really good, they’re too expensive! If they’re affordable, they’re either not tasty or they don’t have quality ingredients. I’m sure this product can be used for weight loss or many other things, but it’s not really my goal at this time. My goal is to have lots of energy and have a productive day.
I start my day out with this almost every day, and I can feel the difference in my energy level as opposed to the days I don’t . Yeah, it’s a protein shake so it’s probably not as tasty as a donut or eggs and bacon, but if you put a few slices of a banana, or some stevia in it, it’s definitely tasty! The only complaint that I might have – which is the same complaint I have about EVERYTHING packaged – is that it wastes a lot of hard plastic by making a large plastic container, and only filling it half way up. Probably not fair to target this company, as it seems this is the only way these companies can compete – but DO expect it to take up a tall shelf, and DON’T expect it to be filled all the way
I had so much hope on this product as it says all organic however this powder is way too sweet to drink even when mixed with water. I wouldn’t buy it again!
I’m a huge fan of Orgain and their powdered products for smoothies, and have been buying them for several years. I’m ONLY here commenting on the chocolate protein powder with Greens which I thought tasted disgusting. I bought this product accidentally thinking it was the chocolate + superfoods powder. It reminded me of those greens powders that you stir into water, hold your nose, and slug it down. You don’t do it because you like the taste, but rather because it’s good for you, right? However, maybe some of you like stirring kale or spinach or something similar into your smoothie, and if that’s the case then maybe this product if for you.
So, I emailed Orgain with my complaint and they said sorry they could not issue a refund but they did promise to send me some coupons for other Orgain products. And Amazon has agreed to refund the price of the product. So the product is awful IMHO, but the response of Orgain and Amazon was great. So, three stars.
