best option if you don’t have health insurance or a budget to actually go to a doctor. it does start working after 48 hours, not much side effects except for some light headaches and cramps, no biggie. my period dates changed but i still get it. has definitely done its job cause im not pregnant 😀

I started Opill a month after giving birth, I’ve been on it for almost 6months now. The first 4months I had my period every other week. My flow was very heavy with more cramps than usual—but again, I had just had a baby so I’m not sure how much the pill played a factor in those. This made me want to stop, but the directions said this was normal and to give it time.
On month4 I got a little sloppy with taking them, either 2-3hours after my normal time or not at all. This created a major chemical imbalance in my brain, my husband described me as quite intolerable with mood swings and irritability. The worst part being my anxiety was through the roof, experiencing horrible thoughts that wouldn’t go away.
So on month5 I got serious about taking them at the exact same time. I would feel very low during the day until after i took it in the evening it would give me almost a high of serotonin and i felt amazing. after 3weeks I am finally starting to feel normal again, able to control my thoughts and emotions. I still feel a little depressed and eager to take it around 1-3hours before it’s time to, but it goes away about 30mins after I take it. I might switch to taking it in the morning or an earlier time so i dont feel this way, but I am nervous to mess up the schedule again! So I may start to cut the time back 30mins each day.
Moral of my review, take it at the exact time every day and your period will eventually go back to normal!
I did not experience weight gain or headaches at any point.

I’ve tried this for a month now and honestly have not had any issues it’s easy to follow just have to take it constantly everyday at around the same time it’s easy for me to get and very affordable it does its job I’m happy had no side effects ONLY thing I get very thirsty in the mornings when I first wake up it could be the pill or I just need to drink more water but yeah also I still did get my period I know some woman’s period so stop on this specific pill however it was not the case for me .
EDIT: it’s been now three months consistently being on the pill. Another side effect that I have seen is around my period. My acne gets a little worse, not crazy, but it does affect it. I have had period cramps and tender breast, which I have not experienced since the first time I ever got my period so that is something that I have noticed. No pregnancy which is great. Also, my period start the same day every month so it’s either between the seventh or the eighth of each month and it doesn’t change. It’s always on those specific days.

I have been on the OPill for about 10 months! So far, so good. The only downsides for me, have been an increase in oily skin (face) & hair. I have also started to get dandruff, I’m not sure if it’s related but this has been the only change on my routine. Mayne a couple pimples here & there but nothing crazy. It has mostly stop my period but maybe every 3 months or so, I will bleed for a couple days, but i don’t mind bc that’s nature. I would & I do recommend for other to give this a try! It is also sold at most pharmacy’s for $20! So if for some reason I don’t reorder off here or I don’t notice that I’m out, I can always go pick it up wherever without disrupting my daily intake! Anddd, NO BABIES SO FAR 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Lol

I have been on a handful of other types of birth control and was VERY nervous about starting this. I had mentally prepared to have my emotions all over the place, experience lots of cramping, maybe some random bleed, etc. BUT I am two weeks in and have had NO symptoms at all. It has been business as usual with no adverse side effects at all! My skin has also cleared right up and my mood has seemingly improved. These are amazing and I am so relieved!
