This moisturizer is perfect for dry combo skin during the summer. It isn’t thick, but watery/runny out of the tube. It doesn’t completely absorb (like a good 80% absorption rate) BUT with this fact, it plays to its protective skin barrier claims by leaving a protective film. I ordered the 2.7 oz size bottle to see if I would purchase the 7.5 oz one in the future, and I definitely will yes. My skin doesn’t become disgustingly red and flushed and I don’t need to wear any toners underneath for calming effect because this is like a serum moisturizer in one. Also, there is no smell whatsoever even when I do a big inhale of it lol.

I bought this product because a friend recommended it, and I’m really happy with it. It’s not sticky at all and feels lightweight, but it still keeps my skin hydrated, which is great. The texture is a bit runny, so a small amount goes a long way, making it easy to cover my whole face. I originally got it just for my face, but since I don’t need to use much, I’ve been using it on my body too. Lately, I’ve even been using it instead of hand cream, and my hands look so glowy!

I bought this based on reviews but I know to be cautious because Kbeauty products just don’t work for me. This has no scent to me or it is just super light and the texture is runny. A little goes a long way and it sinks in super fast. I use maybe a nickel size for my entire face and could probably go less.
The pros: it doesn’t cause face stinging and it gives your face the illusion of softness.
The cons: So my cheeks broke out in little white bums and redness surrounding the bumps. I used something else with this and figured out it was specifically this causing it. Secondly, I say it gives the illusion of softness because I noticed later in the day I had dry skin patches on various areas. And my face would feel tight within a few hours of using this, even when used to seal in a hydrating toner.
My biggest reason for looking for a new moisturizer is that the one I use, and go back to, sometimes burns my face. But lately, it cause the area below my eyebrows to really burn. I don’t use actives or anything on that area but my go to moisturizer just seems to irritate it. So far, this lotion has helped that area which is why I gave it 2 stars. I seem to be able to use it for my eye area no problem and so the 2 oz bottle I got will last a good while.

Okay, so I have been on the hunt for a moisturizer to meet all of my requirements; one that feels light, isn’t greasy or fragranced, will deeply hydrate my skin without clogging my pores, that is gentle, and won’t sting my skin when it gets irritated. Enter, Oneingredients Calming Lotion!! So, I am always using a retinoid such as Tret or Adapalene gel on my skin and this is the only moisturizer that I have found that is perfect in every way. It feels luxurious, never ever pills no matter how many products I put on underneath, is fragrance free and never clogs my pores, ever(keep in mind, I get clogged pores very easily). This lotion moisturizes my skin better than any thicker cream ever will, without being too heavy. I also love that they make a jumbo size, and a little goes a long way so it should last a long while!

As with any skincare product, it’s going to take a little time to see results so I will come back to update with results at a later time. For now, having used it twice today, I can share my first impressions. Texture is great; not too thin, not too thick. It has the perfect feel and smooth application. Not sticky or draggy at all on the skin. It seems to absorb as expected given it’s texture, which is about 15 minutes. That’s perfect for what I want. For me, I am using it first thing in the morning, usually after dabbing my face with a hot towel to gently cleanse because I have very dry skin and am working on repairing my skin barrier. It basically has no smell. For the 1/10 smell that it does have, it’s very pleasant and fresh. There is nothing chemical about this product which I’m super happy about. I did the ultimate test of applying it right after exfoliating with a round facial brush and it’s slightly burned around my nose but nowhere else. It was not that noticeable. I have super sensitive skin as well. When I applied it in the middle of the day as soon as I opened my Amazon package, it took away most of my redness so quickly. It’s extremely soothing.
Update next day (4/16) overnight, my texture on my cheeks went away and my skin felt different in a good way that only high end products have done. I have always had texture on my cheeks but the only product that has been able to take it away overnight is Caudalie dark spot correcting serum which is $82. But I am loving this!!
Update several months later: not sure that this is doing anything transformative to my skin. I’m starting to not like the feel of it after it sets in. It dries/absorbs pretty quickly tho. Not good for gua sha if anyone was wondering. It’s not as moisturizing as I hoped either. Still going to finish the bottle, but won’t repurchase.

I have dry skin and rosacea. I have been hinting for a moisturizer that was light enough for summer but still deeply moisturizing, plus zero smell and I have found it with this product! I bought the smaller bottle to test if I wanted the larger one, and I definitely will be repurchasing! Layers great with sunscreen and makeup.
