I figured, how can you go wrong with body wash? And “activated charcoal” just seems kind of wacky in a soap, so I figured I would give it a try. Well, the idea seems fine, but the smell that comes from this body wash is just not my cup of tea. Usually I enjoy discerning the notes of a fragrance, but I just really don’t like this at all. I can’t figure out exactly why, but it is just not for me. It smells like chemical factory perfume or something.
The wash itself is a gloppy, black blob when you pump it out of the bottle. It looks very unappealing, but it does lather up to whitish grayish suds. It does work as a soap, because I started to feel the “squeaky clean” feeling, but I really just had to rinse it off quickly because the smell was so off-putting. I am going to offer it to family members, but if there are no takers, I’m definitely not going to be using it.

This soap is ok but it’s just not something I would buy again

I decided to get this product since I was starting to run short of body wash and never got to use one like this before, so why not give it a try.
This body wash is quite different from more normal ones. Since one of the main ingredients is activated carbon, the soap is very black and not totally homogenous, you might get some chunks in it. Also, with argan oil and tea tree, the smell is a bit weird at first and might not be to your liking. In my case, I like it since it’s not overwhelming after rinsing. On the product page, there are some explanations about what each of those ingredients is supposed to do, but I’m not quite sure it’s been scientifically tested, although I can confirm it does exfoliate.
One thing you have to be wary about is that it can stain your shower wall or bath if it’s not cleaned up immediately. It’s not too hard to remove afterwards, but still a bit more trouble than clear or white body wash.
All in all, I’d recommend at least trying this kind of body wash once to know how it feels since I think it is not for everyone. In my case, I really like it and will keep using it.

I don’t usually use liquid body wash since I’m more of a bar soap user, but since I sometimes use charcoal bar soap I was intrigued by this body wash infused with activated charcoal. I always feel I need to use a disproportionate amount of liquid wash to achieve the same lather I can get with bar soap. I was pleasantly surprised by this wash in that with just 4 squirts onto my wash cloth that it lathered up nicely. During the shower I felt like this body wash was actually moisturizing my skin, and afterwards I didn’t feel like my skin dried out and was left itchy. It also leaves both the bathroom and my skin with a very pleasant smell. There were only 2 things that I thought were strange about this wash. First, the label states this is “Volume Boosting”. Since this is body wash and not shampoo, I’m not exactly sure what is suppose to be getting volume boosted. Secondly, the label states that this has “Tea Tree”, but according to the ingredient list, I don’t see that mentioned at all. The scientific name for tea tree oil is melaleuca alternifolia but I don’t see that either, so if it’s something else maybe they should state that better on the ingredients list.

I love the product, it had me feeling nice and refreshed after I got out the shower. Definitely my new go to body wash. Amazon was the only disappointment was they way they deliver in envelopes they damaged the top of the pump a little.

I got this for my husband and he’s used it down to the last bit! It suds up nicely and the scent is very pleasant, not too overpowering. He says he definitely feels clean and moisturized after each shower. This bottle itself has lasted almost two months and that’s with two showers daily, so it’s a great value.

[PROS] 👍
✔Blend of natural ingredients that assist with detoxifying the skin and pores
✔Leaves my skin feels clean and hydrated
✔Smells refreshing and invigorating, after my shower the body wash sent remained for several hours
✔The body wash is gentle on my skin
[CONS] 👎
✘Scent strength on my personal scale is a 7/10, I am sensitive to scents/perfumes and still found the body wash scent strength to be acceptable if I am going to work, outings, etc., however if I’m hanging out at home or going to sleep, it would be a bit too strong, even though it smells pleasant
[PRODUCT EXPERIENCE] ⭐⭐⭐⭐
👉The OMWAH Body Wash Infused Activated Charcoal is currently priced as $20.16 at the time of this review. My experience with this body wash has been mostly positive, from the cleansing to the feeling IK get after my shower, I primarily use this one after my workout in the gym showers or at home before heading to work – like I mentioned the smell is great, you can tell it’s on the upper scale of body washes, just keep in mind the scent is subjective and based on tolerance.

I am attracted to products with natural ingredients, and so when I saw that this body wash contained activated charcoal, Argan oil, and tea tree, I wanted to try it. Prior to ordering this product, I was unable to find a full list of ingredients. Another reviewer has already posted the ingredients label for your review. There are many ingredients in this body wash that do not seem natural, and there is no mention of tea tree in the ingredients list on the bottle. In the product description it states “while the natural scent of tea tree oil offers a soothing and revitalizing shower experience.” So I am thinking that there isn’t actually tea tree in this shampoo, but it’s just the scent. If this is the case, then it’s false advertising since this shampoo is advertised to have tea tree in it along with the benefits of having tea tree in a body wash.
I am also confused that the product description states “this gentle formula is free from parabens, sulfates, and artificial fragrances…” Yet the ingredients list contains “Parfum.” I was under the impression that parfum means fragrance.
Another note is that the advertised ingredients: activated charcoal and Argan oil are at the end of the ingredient list, meaning that there is less of those ingredients in this product compared to the top section of the ingredient list, since that’s how ingredient lists work: the first ingredient listed is always the most prominent ingredient within a product.
Aside from ingredients, this body wash comes in a very large bottle with a pumper. The body wash is black, which I expected since there is activated charcoal in it. I was unable to test the pumper because it arrived broken upon delivery, and some of the contents spilled out into the delivery envelope. I was able to pour the product onto my loofah and still use it that way.
The body wash suds up just fine, and it has a scent typical of a general body wash or shampoo. The scent is not as natural or essential oil/spa scented as I would have liked. The scent is not bad, but it’s not my favorite.
Overall, if you aren’t picky about ingredients this is a large bottle that should last you a long time.

I like this body wash. It smells good, lathers well, and really does feel like it’s moisturizing. What I don’t like about it is that it stains my washcloths black. I can tell which washcloths were the ones I used after they are washed because they have black stains on them.
